Hey I’m Brenn and I’ve been guiding students through moving and breathing at Workhorse since 2019! I teach a variety of vinyasa classes which are my absolute favorite and have also served as the studio manager since we’ve opened. In 2021, I helped launch our first yoga teacher training which was very successful and a ton of fun! Yoga is my passion and I love to share it in any capacity to everyone I know.

Believe it or not, It’s taken me a long time to find the perfect mat! I’ve been practicing yoga for almost 12 years now and I’ve think I’ve tried just about every mat out there! When I first started practicing I did not realize that investing in a good mat could completely change the way I practiced. With each one that I tried there always seemed to be something missing. Here are some of my biggest pros to this mat:

NO SLIP: When I sweat, it absorbs nicely into the mat without getting slippery and this is a big bonus for me bc I can keep my connection to the mat and remain grounded through my practice.

ALIGNMENT MARKERS: In yoga, setting everything from the ground up is important for practicing proper alignment and a lot of times we are unaware of where we are or need to be in space and the alignment markers are a huge positive for me.

GOOD WEIGHT & THICKNESS: This mat is easy to travel around with without being too bulky or heavy and the mat bag is a bonus! It provides me with just the right amount of connection to the floor so that I feel secure when balancing on my hands and feet.

GREAT QUALITY: This mat is going to last me a lifetime. I started with cheaper mats and I would go through them pretty quick. I started moving up the ladder and have found that even the mid-priced ones I also went through more than I would like.

PURPOSE: I want to stand behind companies that are on a mission to do better things for our planet. These mats are made with plant based materials, non-toxic and eco-friendly ink, have sustainable packing and just become a certified B-corp!

👋🏼 Hello, my name is Renee! I’ve been a member of Workhorse since they opened and I recently started teaching yoga here after completing my 200 hour training in the spring. I love the community and the encouraging, motivating atmosphere…It’s a special place!💕
