Meet Arielle, a veteran yogi at SAMA and recent YTT grad! 💫 She will be leading this week’s Emerging Flow on Sunday at 10am! Learn a little more about her 👇
Q: What first brought you to yoga?
A: I first discovered yoga as a way to stretch and cool down after a run or workout. It began as a simple recovery method which opened the door to a much deeper practice.
Q: What made you take the leap into yoga teacher training?
A: I’d been contemplating a training for years with the intention of deepening my personal practice. When I found SAMA, I knew I wanted to learn from Brenn and Laura, so it was an easy and natural decision to take the leap.
Q: If you could describe your teaching style in 3 words, what would they be?
A: Grounded, intuitive, and functional.
Q: What pose has challenged you the most or taught you the biggest lesson?
A: Pincha Mayurasana. I’ve been working on Pincha for over 3 years, and even though I still haven’t held the pose, it has taught me many lessons about being consistent and trusting myself and always leaving room for play.
Q: What’s something yoga has taught you off the mat?
A: Yoga has taught me to be patient and to take time to notice the in-betweens of life. It’s helped me remember to breathe and that it’s okay to slow down in a world that is constantly rushing.
Q: What’s one thing people might not know about you outside of yoga?
A: My first job was as an airbrush and henna tattoo “artist” at a popular tourist restaurant in Destin, FL.
Q: What’s one thing you’d tell someone nervous to walk into a yoga class?
A: I’d tell them that nerves are natural and part of the experience. Showing up is already yoga in itself, and nothing more is required. Move in a way that feels good to you and trust your breath and your body.
Q: Why are you excited to teach Emerging Flow at SAMA?
A: I’m excited to teach Emerging Flow because I get to share some of my favorite movement patterns while reconnecting with the space and community I’ve loved practicing in for the past 2 years. It feels meaningful to contribute to the energy that inspired me.

What is this ball? 🤔
Meet the Yoga Tune Up® Alpha Ball —This soft and mighty therapy ball is designed for self-myofascial release (think: giving yourself a deep tissue massage). By applying gentle pressure and movement, we help hydrate tissues, release tension patterns, and bring awareness back into areas of the body that feel tight, stuck, or overworked.
What we use it for?
🌿 Release tension
Target common areas like the neck, shoulders, back, hips, glutes, feet + jaw
🌿 Improve mobility
Create more freedom in your joints and support better movement patterns
🌿 Increase body awareness
Find those sneaky spots holding stress and reconnect with how your body feels
🌿 Support recovery
Perfect for athletes, desk workers, yogis, parents — really anyone living in a body
🌿 Down regulate our nervous system
Slow, intentional pressure + breath helps shift the body into rest + restore mode
Our Roll + Restore class combines rolling on multiple different size therapy balls for a deep release that leaves you feeling lighter and more free in your body!!!!
Come roll with us!
Thursdays 12pm Lunch Roll
Saturdays 8:30am Roll & Restore

Welcome Taryn! One of our newest YTT grads! She’ll be kicking off our first Emerging Flow class this Sunday at 10am! Get to know her 👇
Q: What first brought you to yoga?
A: My sister and I discovered yoga together a few years ago. We love connecting over classes and discovering new studios during our travels.
Q: What do you hope students feel when they leave your class?
A: Refreshed, limber, clear headed
Q: What pose has challenged you the most or taught you the biggest lesson?
A: Crow Pose - the first several times I tried this posture I did not lift my toes off the ground. It’s been exciting to see my personal progress each time I come back to it - and now I’m working towards Side Crow!
Q: What’s one thing people might not know about you outside of yoga?
A: I am an artist, and I am becoming an author!
Q: Your current mantra, quote, or words you’re living by?
A: Start where you are, use what you have, do what you can.
Q: Morning flow or sunset practice?
A: Sunset 😍
Q: What song would definitely make it onto your yoga playlist?
A: Inner Light - Elderbrook and Bob Moses
Q: What’s one thing you’d tell someone nervous to walk into a yoga class?
A: The hardest part is walking in the door! Once you’re on the mat just relax and breathe. Every practice is different and you make it your own each time.
Q: Why are you excited to teach Emerging Flow at SAMA?
A: Sama Studio feels like home me. My goal is to create a safe space to play, explore, and grow in our practices. I want to share the peace that I’ve cultivated and cherish the community of fellow yogis. ❤️
