DON’T SKIP DELOAD.
Athletes tend to make one of two mistakes during deload week:
1️⃣ Ignore it and keep training at the same high intensity.
2️⃣ Skip the week entirely because, “If I’m not training near failure, what’s even the point?”
Both miss the purpose.
If you’ve trained at the appropriate intensity throughout the rest of your training block, you should welcome a week of intentionally reduced volume and load.
Deload isn’t a week of doing nothing.
It’s a week of doing less—with purpose.
Lighter loads create an opportunity for high-quality movement through ranges that should feel smooth, controlled, and confident.
✅ Athletes can access and reinforce full ranges of motion that may become more difficult under near-maximal loads.
✅ Coaches can better observe movement without heavy load masking compensations or technical breakdowns.
✅ Small adjustments to positioning, control, and technique can be made now—which translate when the weights get heavy again.
And most importantly, reduced training stress gives your body an opportunity to recover from the fatigue you’ve accumulated so you’re actually prepared to adapt to the next block of training.
Deload isn’t lost training. It’s part of the training.
SEE YOU THIS WEEK 💪🏼

If you’re new to the area, looking to change up your current training routine, want to train for something specific, or maybe just ready to START, we’ve got you.
We invite you to take advantage of our TRY 5 CLASSES FOR $55 offering (a $90 value) for *new* athletes.
Why TRY 5 instead of the standard 1st Class Free?
Because one workout can show you what a class looks like. Five sessions gives you a chance to experience what training at Workhorse actually feels like.
Over your five classes, you can experience a full week of programming, train with different coaches, meet different members, try different class times, and see how each session fits into a larger, intentionally designed training program.
There’s another reason we ask athletes to invest a little in their trial.
We’ve found that when people invest in getting started, they show up differently. There’s more commitment, more consistency, and a greater willingness to actually give the program a fair shot from the beginning.
We don’t need you to be “in shape” before you walk through the door. We don’t expect you to know what you’re doing. And you don’t have to decide whether Workhorse is right for you after a single workout.
Give us five classes.
See how we coach.
See how we program.
Meet our community.
Then decide. 🔗 link to TRY 5 In our bio 👆🏼

Monday…coming in hot.
As always, week 4 of our 5 week training block is our accommodating resistance phase to build strength through the lift, even as the weight gets heavier.
