🚨Great work from our Fall/Winter 6am class for their hard work and improvement!
➡️Everyone improved their sprint by at least 2mph💨💨
➡️Vertical Jump improved minimum 3in as a group 💨💨
➡️Shotput Throw improved minimum 5ft as a group💨💨

💥Does Brushing Your Teeth with your non-dominant hand help you become a better athlete?
💥It absolutely can! But here’s how⬇️⬇️
➡️ We have two sides, a left, and a right one. We as humans need awareness of how these two sides cooperatively work together. We all know that we have two eyes, two years, two shoulders, two hips and two knees, two ankles, and 2 feet. But, do we really have awareness of each one on both sides, or how they work together?
➡️ Star Michigan quarterback, JJ McCarthy and national champion, has realized that using your non-dominant hand can change your neural pathways. When’s the last time as an athlete you’ve tried to use your left hand thrown a med ball, throwing a baseball, throwing a football or anything athletic with that non-dominant side? The more you work your opposite side, the more you work the opposite side of the brain, which creates better neural wave frequencies , better awareness and perception of a situation.
➡️ Becoming more symmetrical doesn’t stop on in ones training. When was the last time you ran the vacuum with your left hand?Do you chew your food on one side of your mouth? Do you tend to favor a dominant leg or foot? What ear do you hold your phone up when you’re talking on the phone? Or like JJ McCarthy, brushing your teeth with your non-dominant hand.
➡️ The human body is not symmetrical. The neurological circulatory, muscular and visual systems. Just an image of you are not the same on the left side of the body as they are on the right. If you limit yourself to one side you can potentially limit your athleticism and your ability to develop perception and cognition.
