Today is DAY NINETEEN of our 26-Day Challenge to support the Race4Chase Triathlon Program! Welcome Christine and Jeffrey Liebler who will be running, biking 2.6 miles, or exercising for 26-minutes everyday!

Christine and Jeffrey will be joining us and running/exercising till June 26th to help support this FREE 6-week Triathlon program in memory of Chase Kowalski, one of the 26 people who was taken from us in Sandy Hook back on December 14, 2012. Over 80 kids in Southington and Cheshire will participate in the R4C program with your help!

Today, we got a visit from a YMCA legend, Mr. Harry Rock was in town for a small reunion of former Y professionals, and he stopped by. He shared why he loves the Y and everyone in the lobby got to see Harry in his element!

While he was in, Suzy Clemente, a YMCA legend in the making, came up to greet him. This was a special occasion, because in May, Suzy received the prestigious “Harry Rock Spirit Award” - given to a Y professional in CT or RI who embodies Harry’s passion and commitment to the Y!

This past Friday, June 12, 2026, was the birthday of the late Carson Zielinski, who passed away in April of 2025. Carson was a former camper at YMCA Camp Sloper and often found comfort here as an adult, taking long hikes and finding peace in nature. Before his passing, Carson and his father were working on a legacy project and planning a zip-line course for the day camp. Last week, on Carson’s birthday, family and friends gathered for a private dedication of the new zip line course, and his brothers, father, and grandfather all got a chance to test out the course. The Zielinski Family and the YMCA would like to thank all supporters and contributors to the project. The Zielinski Zip Line Course will be a great way to remember Carson’s spirit and will be enjoyed by thousands of campers this summer and in the years to come! 🧡💙

🥉 And a huge shoutout to Emily Reid, who was named 2025 Female Adapted Swimmer of the Year and brought home a Bronze Medal in the 100 Backstroke at the Paralympic National Championships!
