Sept 27th It was a gorgeous Nevada fall day, clear blue skies, calm and a little cool but heating up through the match. Absent were the typical tricky winds that build, let off and change directions. Only one target had any wind (the last one of the day), but that was full value, steady wind. Good scores were shot throughout the match....

There was an encouraging turnout for the first 1000 yd. benchrest in August so we’ll try it again to judge interest for next year. The new date will be October 25, 2025. The 600 yd. match scheduled for this date is cancelled. The rules will be as before, simple and informal. Shooters will be squadded into teams of two, a shooter and scorer....

This was the restart of long range benchrest at the range. The weather cooperated by keeping the wind down, sunny and not too much mirage although it was a little warm at the end. The wind started to come up in the middle of the match, but dropped off to almost nothing. Each shooter shot six, five shot groups that were scored and measured electronically at the target....

It was a typical August day for the range. It was hot. The surprising thing was the wind did not appear as it normally does on the second relay.
