Eastway Park, Spartanburg, SC

As some neighbors have noted in Nextdoor conversations, the recent storm knocked down a tree in the park. We’re working to get it removed. Here’s the link to make contributions to the park maintenance fund:

Maintenance and Upgrades at Eastway Park | Conway Cultural Development Corporation (Powered by Donorbox) Another non-profit organization has donated playground equipment and ball field fencing to our non-profit organization from their former facility. We intend to remove this equipment from its present location and then eventually install this playground equipment at Eastway Park.

Park was full again tonight with plenty of baseball fans! Hillbrook 8U Astros vs Red Sox. Saw some strong hitters on both teams.

Great to see the Hillbrook 8U Cardinals and the Red Soxs playing this week at Eastway Park. Hope everyone had an awesome time!

Bryan and Mike repaired the gate. This included replacing the hinges so the gates now swing fully out of the way. They were previously damaged because the hinges were attached in such a way that they would only open 90 degrees; this made it easy for someone to accidentally back into them, which apparently happened more than once.

Girls Softball Practice tonight at Eastway Park. We have jerseys for the girls. Parents should wear old clothes and be prepared to help. Please bring a glove. Let’s play ball!
