Greenville Spartanburg Squash Club

Well it's in the books- the 2025 Upstate Squash Championship! It was a good day - food, prizes, free Toffee for each competitor graciously supplied by Dotties Toffee in Spartanburg, and of course lots of squash. It was a full day. Caver from Columbia/Zimbabwe won Division 1, with Roy Bower as Runner-up, and Daniel from Greenville/El Salvador placing third, and Jeremiah from Hendersonville/New Orleans finishing out the draw. A big thank you to Jeremiah for coming! Hope you can play next year! Div 2 battled it out and Jason from Spartanburg/Canada managed to come out on top as winner, with Greg from Asheville as the runner-up. Consolation winner was Peter our youngest player this year. Special mention to Tarun for playing but had to withdraw due to a blood injury. Tough luck but we'll see you next year. Thank you again to all the competitors and for those that follow Greenville Spartanburg Squash! See you next year!

What a great day! The 2023 Upstate Squash Championship. 13 players, 5 junior's, players from Canada, El Salvador, India, Mexico/USA, Phillipines/UK, USA, and Zimbabwe. This year's winner was the reigning champion Caver Mudzonga from Zimbabwe. Runner-up was Daniel Cornejo from El Salvador.

Winner of Division 2 was Tarun Mather (India) and Runner-up was Richard Reuter (USA)

Winner of the Junior division was NEO (Phillipines/UK) and Runner-up was Leo (Mexico/USA).

Hi all! Just a short note on the UPSTATE SQUASH CHAMPIONSHIP this Saturday. Junior's will start at 8.30am and go to about 10am. The adult tournament will run from 10 - 4pm. There are three divisions this year, which are: Junior's, Division 1 and Division 2. Tournament format this year is round Robin. There are four players in each division, which will allow 3 matches for each player. Adult matches will be thetv best out of five games, 11 points, and point a rally. Junior's ma be best out of three or 5 depending on the time. We usually break for a short lunch and may do so if time permits. If not, plan to make a quick trip to Subway or something similar.
