The Roger Milliken Center will be hosting the 2026 Eye Opener, on Labor Day weekend, for the 42nd rendition of the largest XC event in S Carolina. College races on Friday followed by the high schools harriers Saturday. Thank you Milliken & Company for your continued support!

The Eye Opener Cross Country meet is now the traditional opener for the cross country season.
The meet began 39 years ago at the South Carolina School for the Deaf and Blind with five high school teams. 100 plus teams from five states now participate. USC Upstate hosts a collegiate meet on the Friday evening prior to the Saturday high school meet. The course is entirely on grass; it has been the home for regional and national championships as well. We appreciate the generosity of Milliken & Company for opening their corporate headquarters to our runners.
