We can’t let the month close out without posting about our September athlete of the month, Andi Hawes!
Strong. Tough. Determined. And a total badass.
Andi is the kind of person who keeps showing up, even on the toughest days. She takes on challenges, pushes through when things get hard, and continues to prove just how strong she really is. And somehow, she does all of that while being a mom of SIX!
Andi, we hope you’re as proud of yourself as we all are of you. Your hard work, grit, and consistency do not go unnoticed.
You’ve earned this recognition. Congratulations, Andi! We’re damn proud of you! ❤️
Q: When and why did you start CrossFit?
A: I started CrossFit about 4 years ago. I have always enjoyed being active and wanted to challenge myself with CrossFit to learn to do new and hard things and get faster and stronger.
Q: What is your favorite movement?
A: I like cleans, overhead squats, and double-unders.
Q: What do you love the most about CrossFit?
A: I love doing workouts that are both mentally and physically challenging with people. While I could do many of the workouts on my own, it’s much more rewarding to work hard together with friends.
Q: What do you do for fun outside the gym?
A: I ride and train horses, read, play word games, and enjoy being with my family.
Q:What advice can you share with new members or a potential new member?
A: CrossFit is hard but things that are worth doing take effort. When it feels difficult, be kind to yourself and keep showing up!
