We're thrilled to be hosting Billy Kuster Sensei and his son as they visit from Japan. Looking forward to more practices this week and next, and seeing some fantastic jodan action!

Last week was a busy one for our members! Marek Nelson Sensei had the opportunity to participate in the AUSKF Iaido Seminar and Taikai. A whole weekend of Iaido action with special guests from Japan! And the week after we hosted Nick Shiosaki Sensei from Pocatello Kendo Club. Thank you to everyone that came out and welcomed him with good kendo and high spirits!

This weekend a couple of our members took part in the US Nito Seminar in Boise, ID. This included a special taikai (tournament). Congratulations to Wendy for placing third in her division!

Last weekend Nelson Sensei and Ruiz Sensei participated in the US Kendo Nationals in Las Vegas. Three days of the best kendo in the country. PNKF had a strong showing, placing in many divisions. Thank you to all of the competitors for all of your effort leading up to the tournament and your performance on the floor. Thank you to the coaches for all of your help, support, and encouragement throughout the last year. And thank you to the managers and volunteers, without whom none of this would have been possible. Let's train hard and come back even stronger next time!

Lilac City members Marek Nelson and Chris Ruiz are heading to the US Kendo Nationals in Las Vegas this weekend to represent the Pacific Northwest Kendo Federation. Nelson Sensei will be competing in the senior men's division, and Ruiz Sensei will be coaching the mudansha team. Good luck, fight hard, and represent well!

LCKC member Yusei and his family are heading back to Japan, but not before we had a final training and pizza party for him! Thank you for all the wonderful memories, the excellent training, and the lasting friendships we've built. Ant thank you to everyone that came to wish him well and celebrate one last time!
