Sometimes growth is so gradual
that we don’t recognize it.
We keep looking ahead.
What’s next.
What’s not there yet.
What still needs to improve.
And we forget to notice
how much has already changed.
I see this with my horses.
Things that once felt difficult
now feel natural.
Conversations that once required effort
now happen quietly.
Not because something dramatic changed,
but because small things shifted over time.
So quietly
that I almost missed them.
Lately, I’ve been trying to pause
and look back.
To recognize what once felt far away
and is now simply part of everyday life.
And to allow that to count.
Because growth doesn’t always feel like progress
when we’re inside it.
But it’s there.
In the way we move.
In the way we respond.
In the way we relate.
