Getting There: Colbert bike builder works alone out of his garage, sells his singular bikes around the world
Elephant Bikes are built by one man in a Colbert garage, where Glen Copus turns out bikes known for their idiosyncratic designs and expert craftsmanship. But Copus is disarmingly unpretentious about his product and adamant about keeping the design utilitarian and no-frills.

From customer, Julian:
It was super helpful to see other people’s build list for different ideas, sizes etc.. I actually had the bike built a few months ago, but didn’t want to risk it on icy road. Everything’s finally starting to melt here, so I took it out for a small ride recently. It was really fun going from paved road to snow covered road to muddy grass. NFE kinda just floated above all these different surfaces! It was amazingly easy to climb with this bike too. Anyway, thank you guys again for this awesome bike! Definitely a happy customer here.
Here’s my build list by the way:

Still debating if I want to dump the acorn bag and move on to a swift basket bag. but so far... this bike is the real deal. already has me thinking about selling my road bike; i'm totally sold on the chubby tire, all-road bike deal."
