Ended our 3 day Arizona trip today at the Red Mountain Summer Duals

We had duals against Cienega, Liberty, Red Mountain, Mesa, Desert Mountain, Pinnacle and Westwood.

Proud of this group for their hard work and commitment to their craft this last 3 days. A lot of growth and development happened because this group decided to do get better and do hard things on this trip!

Red Mountain Summer Duals tomorrow to finish out our AZ Trip!

Great day of work!

We started the day with some fun and a hike through the Glenwood Catwalk.

Then it was back to work. We spent three hours training with the 11-time state champion Morenci Wildcats, two hours focused on technique and one hour of live wrestling.

Opportunities like this are invaluable, allowing our wrestlers to learn, compete, and challenge themselves against a program with a championship culture.

We’re grateful for the relationship we have with Coach Woodall and the Morenci staff. We always enjoy working with like-minded programs that value hard work and doing things the right way. Iron sharpens iron, and opportunities like today help everyone grow, both on and off the mat.

The work continues tomorrow!

Proud of this group for their performance at the USAW Southern Plains Regional! This tournament always brings high level competition against some of the best wrestlers in the country.

We love getting the opportunity to travel, compete, and test ourselves against elite competition. This group battled hard, learned valuable lessons, earned Fargo qualifications, and had a lot of fun along the way. The growth continues and we’re excited for what’s ahead!

Congratulations to Coach Copeland on receiving the 2026 USA Wrestling Southern Plains Freestyle Developmental Coach of the Year!

This is a testament to all of his hard work on and off the mat where he provides so many wrestling opportunities to all New Mexico athletes!

Good Luck to our Cleveland Storm as they compete at the USAW Southern Plains Regional in Oklahoma City!
