7. We can't make it until late Friday night, is that cool? (Chrono will close around 8, so you will have to chrono likely on Saturday morning. Letting us know before you arrive will help us immensely. You can still check in with me Friday night.)

6. I forgot to sign the waiver (Actually you probably didn't. About 20 of you signed the waiver after I posted something yesterday. Slackers)

5. I'm ready to chrono. OK, where's your eyepro? In my car.

4. I'm ready to chrono. OK., did you check in at registration yet? No? Go see Rob.

3. I don't know what squad I'm in. (Did you check into the forums, which we have been promoting for most of the summer and where we posted the squad rosters?) Squad leaders will be trying to get everyone together on-site Friday night, and there will be a formation before we head out Saturday morning.

2. I lost my patch or dead rag or door prize raffle ticket. Sorry we have a limited number of patches and dead rags, and it's on you to make sure you hold on to those items as well as your raffle ticket.

Happy Labor Day! Tim, Josiah, Matt and Aine (and special guest Casian) came out this morning amid some light rain in the morning to do some labor.

We moved the last of the building materials out of the parking lot, finished mowing the parking and camping areas, painted and cut the slats, cut windows into our new buildings and installed the slats on the windows.

There’s always more to do but we’re ready to see you all when you come out in less than five days!

Thanks to Paul we have signage for four new named buildings at the field.

We did some work today getting ready for that game in less than 2 weeks. We painted all the new buildings, Paul painted signage for 3 of our 4 new named buildings, we removed all of the wood logs from around the tower and replaced them with wood panels and we built a target stand in front of the chrono shack.

Thanks to Matt, Aine, Mike, Tim, Paul and special guests Josiah and Reagan for all your help and/or guidance today. We think you’ll like all the work we’ve put into the place since the last time you came out.

Good news everyone. We have opened registration and made available several more spots for each side for Pegasus XVII.

Right now there are 5 spots available for ZDF and 3 spots available for 1st Mugambi Scouts. These are first-come, first-serve.

Hey everyone, Rob here with a quick reminder, yes we don't have an event posted for this weekend, but we are having an Open Play Day this Saturday.

Gate opens at 9, registration and chrono start at 9-ish an close at 10:30, safety briefing at 10:30 and game on no later than 11. Cost is just 10 bucks, that's right, we're keeping those prices down.

Keep in mind it's going to be hot and windy and fire danger is high this weekend. We'll be keeping an eye on the weather while we're out there, but do your part and bring plenty of water and other beverages to consume. As usual the back of my SUV will be available for anyone who is lugging extra gear out with them to play. If the weather conditions become a factor we might call the game early.

Pre-Registration

We've been asked a few times and to confirm, yes, pre-registration is still open and will remain open through the Labor Day weekend. There are approximately (12) positions left on both sides.

Key leadership

We're happy to report we have all squad leaders filled for the 1st Mugambi Scouts. Thanks to our volunteers -- all veteran leaders -- who stepped up to participate.

We are looking for two squad leaders for ZDF. These are paid positions (as in we pay your entry fee). You need to be able to play all day, be a good communicator, can manage a group of people some of whom you may not know, and we prefer people who have played at Pegasus previously and understand how we run our events. Drop us a PM here on our page if you're interested.

The return of the African Ri**es

It would not be quite the same to return to our beloved Elizabethtown, Zamunda without everyone's favorite group of roustabouts returning to the fray.

The African RI**es, a PMC team, will be working with the 1st Mugambi Scouts at Pegasus XVII and will be led by none other than Ben "You can trust me" Brison, seen in this photo with key leaders of the 1st Mugambi Scouts at Pegasus II moments before he went rogue and took them hostage.

Door prizes

We've ordered door prizes from Evike through Tactical Parts; thanks to Dan Arkady for helping making that happen. We also have a number of other door prizes that we're going to be giving away at the event.

The SUQ

We will be having the annual SUQ -- swap meet -- Saturday evening after we the door prize drawing. There's limited picnic table space available so as always we encourage you to bring your own tables.

And that's it for today's update. I need to wrap up before the Rockaway Beach Music Festival starts in less than half an hour and drives me to shut the patio doors.
