Please join us in formally welcoming Meridian Farm’s newest team member, Maggie Roseburg! Maggie is a promising young professional with a wealth of experience; she will be assisting Robin and Kelsey with day-to-day operations as well as expanding the MF program offerings.
Maggie grew up in Moses Lake on her family’s hay and horse farm. Her passion for horses was sparked at a young age, spending countless hours learning and working with her mother. She quickly realized her passion for starting young horses, and was fortunate to spend time working with the renowned young horse trainer Jess Holloway, as well as colt-starter and problem-horse expert Jose Alejos.
Maggie attended WSU for Animal Science, where she worked as an assistant in the Equine Veterinary Teaching Hospital. Her next big step was taking a year long internship in Colora, Maryland, at Hilltop Farm, one of North America’s largest stallion stations. There, Maggie spent six months in the mare and foal barn, and another six months grooming for head trainer Michael Bragdell and assistant trainer Jessica Faye. Maggie gained a wealth of knowledge in top level horse care, including stallion handling and prepping for the illustrious Dressage at Devon.
Following her internship at Hilltop, Maggie returned to Washington where she took a job at McKinlay and Peters Equine Hospital as a veterinary assistant. Maggie left MPEH to ride, train, and show for a warmblood breeder in New Mexico, where she also had the opportunity to clinic with several top instructors.
Maggie has now returned home to Spokane, and looks forward to sharing her knowledge and experience with the Meridian team! She is proud to offer colt-starting services, rehab and tune-up rides, and will be developing an introductory lesson program. We are so excited to have her on board!
Limited stalls are available, message us to get in before the cold weather hits!
