United Spokane Avalanche Tryouts

United Spokane Avalanche finished out their 2026 Spring/Summer season this past weekend in Moses Lake on a very positive high note.

We are looking for 10u, 11u, and 12u players to round out our team for 2026 Fall and 2027 Spring/Summer seasons. We are adding a 12u team to our organization and have a few spots left to fill. 10u and 11u we only have two spots on each team open. 12u we have 4 spots left to fill.

Please send a message, text, or email if interested. We are kicking off our fall season practices tonight at Franklin Park Field 5 from 5-8pm.

This weekend, your United Spokane Avalanche play in their final local tournament of the year in the Sho in Spo Top Tier Tournament.

This week, we are proud to recognize our 10u United Spokane Avalanche Player of the Week — Owen Arneson. ⚾

Owen joined our team this spring, and from the moment he stepped onto the field, he has fully embraced the vision, standards, and philosophy of what it means to be part of the Avalanche. It’s not always easy coming into a new team, but Owen made that transition look effortless with his attitude, work ethic, and team-first mindset.

Every practice, Owen shows up locked in and ready to work. He is eager to learn, constantly improving his understanding of the game, and brings a level of focus that stands out. On game days, you can count on him to be prepared, dependable, and ready for whatever role is asked of him.

On the field, Owen has become a key piece of our 10u team. As our starting third baseman, he continues to grow defensively and shows confidence in handling the hot corner. He also contributes as a reliable relief pitcher and has stepped into the corner outfield when needed — proving time and time again that he’s willing to do whatever it takes to help the team succeed.

But what truly makes Owen special goes beyond the positions he plays.

Owen brings energy, positivity, and joy to the game every single day. You will almost always see him with a smile on his face, and his enthusiasm is contagious. In the dugout, he’s one of the loudest supporters of his teammates — cheering them on, picking them up, and celebrating every success as if it were his own. That kind of attitude is what builds strong teams and lasting bonds.

Owen represents everything we strive for in this program — a player who loves the game, works hard to improve, supports his teammates, and competes the right way.

We are incredibly excited to continue watching Owen grow — not only in his skills on the field, but in his confidence, leadership, and love for the game of baseball.

This week, we are proud to recognize our 11u United Spokane Avalanche Player of the Week — Jordan Fleck. ⚾

Jordan has been with us since day one, when this organization was just an idea back in August of 2024. Watching his growth, both as a player and as a young man, has been something truly special.

On the field, Jordan does it all — serving as one of our starting pitchers, holding it down at first base, and covering ground in center field. This season, he’s even stepped outside his comfort zone to begin learning the catcher position, showing his willingness to do whatever the team needs.

But what truly sets Jordan apart isn’t just his versatility — it’s his heart.

Jordan is the kind of teammate every coach hopes for. Despite being the coach’s kid, he is often the first one to offer to sit, not because he wants to, but because he wants others to have their opportunity. That kind of selflessness can’t be taught — it comes from who you are.

He never complains about where he plays, never questions a role, and always puts the team first. His leadership shows in the way he works, the way he competes, and the way he supports every single teammate around him.

Jordan’s determination to improve every single day, paired with his unselfish mindset, is exactly what this program is built on.

⚾ 11U & 12U Tryouts Still Open – Limited Spots Available! ⚾
Thank you to everyone who came out to our first round of tryouts! We had a great turnout, and roster spots are filling quickly.

The United Spokane Avalanche is still looking for a few dedicated players to complete our 11U and new 12U team for the 2026 Fall and 2027 Spring seasons.

🏜️ Our 11U teams (and potentially others) will have the opportunity to travel to Arizona in March to compete in the WCP Spring Training Tournament.

This weekend, we celebrate 250 years of freedom, opportunity, and the American spirit. As we honor our nation's birthday, we're reminded how fortunate we are to live in a country where our young athletes have the opportunity to chase their dreams, build lifelong friendships, and learn valuable lessons through the game of baseball.
