🤩 so excited about finding
I was able to pick all my groceries I wanted between Thursday and Sunday and then it was delivered this morning! Fresh veggies, fruit, a few different meats, some snacks and seasoning for all the things 🥳 I was already covered for the rest of my pantry type items and this was so easy and less expensive than grocery shopping (mostly because I can’t get distracted by all the other things in the store 😂🤣). They have a special going for a percentage off your first couple orders and so far I’m in love!

Pre studying/after school snack!
First day of PA school fall quarter is in the books! Time to hit the ground running 🏃♀️ and since it’s 10,000 degrees in Spokane today all I want is cold food 🥶 🤤

🤤
Summer means “cold food” like fresh fruit & veggies & salads are my fav 😋
Spinach salad + cucumber 🥒 + Nature’s garden salad topper (dried fruit, nuts and seeds) + Poppyseed dressing

Might as well make studying interesting and remind you that your body is better with REAL sugars than artificial ones. And also that most of the junk food we consume is high in calories but has next to no nutritional value. This means you pump your body full of sugars, causing a chain reaction that sharply increases your blood sugar levels, which causes your insulin levels to spike to combat the blood sugar levels, and on top of all this your body will just Store the extras leading to weight gain. Switching to diet drinks isn’t the answer. Addressing your sugar addiction and actively making better choices is the only way to effectively manage weight and maintain your health.
K. Love you bye ✌🏽

Another gym, another selfie 🤷🏻♀️
Quick side note: to the guy at that was brave enough to ask strangers for help - I see you and I think you’re awesome!! I’m sorry I had no idea how to adjust the cable bench, but I admire that you were willing to ask someone and that you were also willing to consider my alternative of using a regular flat bench press bench. I watched you watch and take in another guy benching and admired that you asked him for help on form and that you weren’t too proud to knock down your weight when he was spotting you and made the suggestion. I noticed you enthusiastically accept his suggestion of the press machine to better master the form.
Everyone is at the gym to grow in their own way. Seeing someone so coachable, humble and willing to get it right was incredibly refreshing. I don’t know if you’ll see this, but know that your willingness to learn and push pride out is so rare and it was really cool watching you grow and learn today!
For everyone else - use this guy as a model. Don’t be afraid to ask. Don’t be afraid to learn. Don’t be afraid to YouTube “how to” right there on the gym floor. If someone is rude or you feel like they’re judging you, know that that is a THEM problem and not a you problem. It’s none of your business if someone is so miserable and angry that they can’t appreciate a newbie.
Some quick etiquette for new people:
1. Please don’t interrupt someone mid set or right before they start a set. Wait until they have finished and approach them.
2. Please don’t be intrusive. A lot of us have got music on, we’re in the zone, we probably look like as****es. Please dont stick your hand in my face to ask a question. A quick wave if I don’t look up while you approach is fine, but please don’t get in peoples bubbles.
3. Ask if they’re willing to help and if they aren’t, that’s ok. There’s always YouTube and you’ve got to understand that some people have very limited time, others are working through something mentally/emotionally and others just don’t like to be bothered. It’s all good, you’ll find the good ones.
4. I promise personal trainers are worth the investment
I’m thinking of doing a live chat to help y’all with how to make a list of “whys” related to your weight loss and how to think of your goals in terms of ACTUAL, measureable outcomes instead of the “I want to lose X pounds” or “be a size X” type thinking.
Whatcha think? Anyone need help with goal setting for real results? Lemme know below! 👇🏽👇🏽

Amazing what not having a (sedentary) job does for your steps 😂🤣 I used to BARELY make it to 5,000 on the best days but since I have a few weeks off before school starts I’ve been working out, unpacking from my move, painting my room and hanging out with my pups all day. Hitting around 10k steps every day is just part of the routine now I guess 😂🤣
Can I not work forever? 😅

Looooooong weekend doing yard sales, packing, loading my stuff and cleaning the house 🥵 If only it could know how many pounds of stuff I was moving during all these steps. Or the effort placed into getting my bins out of my basement since you have to bend in half to get up and down the stairs 😂😂😂
Last day in my house before I head out tomorrow! On to the next adventure in Colorado this summer and then Spokane for PA school! 👩⚕️

Getting sunlight until past 9pm sure does make those looooong a Montana winters worth it 🙌🏽
I definitely get all my adventure and outdoor time back having sunlight from just before 6 am until after 9pm every day. There’s nothing that makes me feel better than spending all day outside when we get these gorgeous 70+ weekends. It’s so nice to get off work at 4 and still have 5 whole hours of sunlight, plus finally getting to take quick breaks to sneak away during my workday and soak up some sun on my deck has its perks 😍😍
Make sure you take some time this summer to get into nature and soak up some sun. After last year’s lock downs we allllll could benefit from spending more time outdoors this summer!
As for me - I’m leaving my beloved Montana behind in a few weeks to head to Colorado then up to Spokane in September. In the meantime, I got season pass tickets to my favorite theme park in Colorado and can’t wait to get in some sunshine, family, water park and roller coaster time before I settle in and start PA school the last half of June. Hoping I’ll say hello to a few Colorado trails too before I hit Spokane 😊 should be interesting fitting my entire summer into 2 weeks 😅

From my Iron Belle Community page!
Wanting to find ways to stay active this summer outside the gym?
Hiking is one of my FAVORITE activities and uncovering new places is so much fun 🥾🏕 ⛰🌲
I’ve tried some of the harder trails here in Montana and after some really hard hikes I realized that training for strength and aesthetics (my preference) wasn’t doing me any favors in the cardio department. It also left me lacking in ankle strength and stability.
I’ll be posting in the members area of the app (under the forums) some workouts that can be done to help specifically with strength where it matters to make trails easier and help you take on some of those bigger hikes you’ve been eyeballing 👀
