We are aware of inaccurate information circulating regarding an incident at our North Spokane YMCA today, Aug 14. We want to clarify that no drowning occurred.

An individual experienced a medical emergency on the pool deck and was transported to a local hospital for care. We are grateful to our staff and first responders for their quick response.

Out of respect for the individual’s privacy, we will not be sharing any additional details.

Air Quality Notice 💨

We continuously monitor air quality at our YMCA locations and outdoor programs to help keep our members, program participants, and staff safe.

Because air quality can change throughout the day, classes or programs may be canceled and aquatics areas or facilities may temporarily close.

📱 Before heading to the Y, check our online schedules and social media pages.

➡️ Y Members please enable YMCA 360 push notifications for the latest updates.

Thank you for your flexibility and understanding as we respond to these unprecedented and constantly changing conditions. ❤️

❤️ North YMCA Group Exercise & Gymnasium Programming Resume Monday

We're so grateful for the outpouring of support from our members as the North Y paused Group Exercise classes and gymnasium programming to prepare to host American Red Cross wildfire volunteers. Your patience, encouragement, and understanding were a beautiful reminder of what it means to be part of this caring community.

As the American Red Cross's response efforts have evolved, volunteer housing has transitioned to another site — which means we're excited to welcome Group Exercise classes back to the studios and regular programming back to the gymnasium starting Monday, August 10.

We can't wait to see you back in class!

Check the YMCA360 app for the latest schedules.❤️

❤️ UPDATE:
The North YMCA has received another generous donation of towels and N95 masks from Amazon.com Disaster Relief. Available while supplies last. (We no longer have any Air Purifiers)

All of our Y locations have a variety of other donated items if you need water, non-perishable food, hygiene items, etc.

Thank you, Amazon Disaster Relief, and so many others in our community who have donated items to help those in need during this difficult time. ❤️
