It’s race day😅
No matter if I win, lose, or land somewhere in between, the Lord will get all the glory. I’m just grateful for the opportunity to run alongside others who are willing to push their bodies to the edge.
This is my first race back since surgery… and the truth is, it didn’t fully do what we had hoped. But even in that, I’m here. I get to show up. I get to run.
I love racing because it forces me to discover something deeper—something the good Lord designed for me to learn, to understand, and to carry with me but even better I get to share with so many others.
The Word of God speaks primarily about who He is, what He has done, and what He will continue to do through us as we choose to follow Him. In Romans 1:19-20, it says we are without excuse because of everything He has made.
All of creation points back to Him.
Our bodies are no different.
From a single fingerprint—completely unique to me—to the way a certain smell can take me back to a moment in time… it’s all fascinating.
Even the wind—you can’t see it, but you know it’s there. You can feel it, hear it, and watch what it moves.
When I run, I’m reminded of that. I may not see it, but I experience it fully.
Coming back from surgery after my motorcycle accident years ago—something that should have taken my life—I’ve learned this: even though I’m not fully healed, I can still live fully.
I can still be a good steward of what He’s given me.
But there’s also a deeper longing… for Beulah Land—the place where everything will be made right. No more pain, sorrow, or shame.
I’m convinced that everything I do here is preparation for glory—for the place I will one day call home.
Until then, I’ll give everything I have in all that I do. I’ll remember the mission, the calling, and the purpose He’s placed on my life.
From the streets to this life now—everything else is just extra. ☝🏽
So the question remains:
What shall I learn today? 🤷🏽♂️

🔥 You’re Not Trying to Lose Weight… You’re Training Your Body to Burn Fat 🔥
Everyone’s obsessed with:
Calories.
Carbs.
Workouts.
But almost no one is talking about what actually controls fat loss:
👉 Leptin (the signal)
👉 Lipolysis (the fat burning)
🧠 Leptin tells your body:
“We have enough energy… it’s safe to burn fat.”
🔥 Lipolysis is what actually burns it.
👉 If the signal is broken… fat doesn’t get released.
👉 If fat doesn’t get released… nothing changes.
🚨 This is why people feel stuck:
Always hungry
Low energy
Not seeing results
It’s not just discipline…
👉 your body isn’t getting the right signals.
💥 So we don’t guess… we TRAIN the system:
🍽 3–4 Real Meals a Day
Protein every time
No all-day snacking
🔁 Carb Cycling (Simple + Effective)
Day 1: Low Carb 🔻
Day 2: Low Carb 🔻
Day 3: High Carb 🔺
👉 Then repeat
Low days = train fat burning
High day = boost leptin + reset metabolism
🏋️ Train + Move Daily
🚶 Walk more than you think you need
😴 Sleep + Stress Matter
(Break this and everything slows down)
⚠️ Read this again:
Stop saying:
❌ “I’m trying to lose weight”
Start saying:
👉 “I’m training my body to burn fat.”
💡 Final Truth:
Fat loss isn’t about eating less…
It’s about getting your body to finally let go of stored energy.
Fix the signal.
Train the system.
🔥 Results follow that. 🔥
If your interested in learning more about your body and how to bridge the gap from where you are to where yon want to be DM us- look forward to your success!🤝

A study found that the way you talk to yourself about aging changes how your body actually ages.
People with positive perceptions of aging lived an average of 7.5 years longer than those with negative perceptions.
That effect was larger than the effect of low blood pressure, low cholesterol, healthy weight, or not smoking.
Researchers at Yale analyzed data from 660 adults who had been asked decades earlier how they felt about statements like "As you get older, you are less useful." Those who rejected those statements, who viewed aging as a time of continued growth, lived significantly longer.
The effect held after controlling for age, gender, socioeconomic status, loneliness, and functional health.
7.5 years. From how you think about getting older.
Why? The researchers point to both behavioral and physiological pathways. People who view aging positively are more likely to engage in preventive health behaviors. They also show lower cortisol levels, lower inflammatory markers, and greater will to live when facing health challenges.
Your beliefs about aging become a self-fulfilling prophecy. If you believe decline is inevitable, you stop trying. If you believe growth is possible, you keep showing up.
Every time you say "I'm too old for that," you are writing a prescription for your future. Be careful what you prescribe.
The words you use about your own aging are not just words. They are biology.

Why You Feel Like You Can’t Keep Going (And What’s Really Happening Inside You)
A lot of people believe that when it gets hard or they lose momentum, something is wrong with them.
But what if that moment isn’t the end?
What if it’s part of how you grow?
We are made up of three parts:
Body. Soul. Spirit.
When one of them is off, everything can feel off.
1. The Body (Physical)
Sometimes you don’t need more discipline—you need recovery.
If you’ve been pushing hard, your body will respond with:
Fatigue
Low energy
Mental fog
That doesn’t mean you’re weak.
It means your body is asking to recover so it can keep going.
2. The Soul (Mind, Will, Emotions)
This is where many people lose momentum.
Your thoughts start to say:
“I don’t have what it takes”
“I’m too far behind”
“Maybe this just isn’t for me”
Your emotions follow those thoughts.
But feelings are not always telling the truth.
An overwhelmed mind can talk you out of something you are fully capable of continuing.
3. The Spirit (Your connection to God)
This is the part of you that was never meant to carry everything alone.
When you try to:
Control every outcome
Prove your worth through performance
Rely only on your own strength
You will feel drained at a deeper level.
Not because you are incapable,
but because you were designed to be led, not burdened.
4. Where Setbacks and Growth Meet
Setbacks are not the opposite of progress.
They are part of the process.
Every time you fall short, you are being given information:
What needs to adjust
What needs to grow
What needs to be strengthened
The goal is not to avoid setbacks.
The goal is to learn to fail well without quitting.
5. Living by What Truly Matters
Living your life according to what truly matters has a way of creating more space and even more time.
But many people slowly drift the other direction.
They begin to justify and rationalize their way through life:
Saying yes to everything
Overcommitting
Not following through
And it doesn’t just affect them—it affects everyone around them.
Over time, this becomes frustrating and exhausting for the people closest to them.
Trust begins to erode.
Left unchecked, this pattern can deeply damage relationships—even leading to separation in some cases.
Because walking closely with someone who doesn’t follow through becomes heavy over time.
So what’s really happening when you feel like stopping?
Most of the time:
Your body is tired
Your mind is overloaded
Your spirit is carrying too much
What do you do next?
Instead of asking, “Why can’t I keep going?”
Ask:
What does my body need right now?
What is my mind telling me, and is it true?
Am I trying to carry everything, or just take the
next step?
Here’s the shift:
You don’t need the whole path figured out.
You just need the next right step.
Final Truth for You:
We are learning to fail well, but never quit.
We’re not waking up 15, 20 years from now wishing we made better choices.
The choices and the tools are here—take them, use them, and let your family see it.
I’m trusting you.
Because the more the people in your life hear you say you’re going to do something and you don’t follow through, the more frustration builds.
We must learn to lead within so we can lead without.
Our families, our kids, our loved ones want to be well—and you cannot lead them if you have not learned to get back up and keep moving.
So get up. Stand up. Take the next step.
Ask questions. Be specific.
This is not quitting—this is choosing to show up again.
Get your feet on the ground. Surround yourself with motivated, encouraging people.
Stay away from environments that normalize staying stuck.
Do not base your life on feelings.
If you do, you will inevitably stop.
Lead well. Fail well & Keep going!
The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly of Senescent Cells ( and what you can do about it)
Most people have never heard of senescent cells, but they are one of the biggest drivers behind aging, inflammation, and declining health.
Understanding them can change how you train, eat, recover, and ultimately how you age.
Let’s break it down simply.
The Good
Senescent cells aren’t all bad.
When a cell becomes damaged or too old to divide properly, the body can put it into a senescent state. This means the cell stops multiplying so it doesn’t become dangerous.
This process helps protect us from things like cancer.
In short:
• Senescence is a safety mechanism
• It prevents damaged cells from spreading
• It helps with wound healing and tissue repair in short bursts
So in the right situation, it’s actually helpful.
The Bad
The problem happens when these cells don’t get cleared out.
Instead of dying and being removed, they start to hang around in tissues. Over time they accumulate.
These lingering cells begin releasing inflammatory chemicals known as the Senescence-Associated Secretory Phenotype (SASP).
Think of it like a cell that:
• Stops doing its job
• Complains constantly
• And makes the surrounding cells worse
They can contribute to:
• Chronic inflammation
• Joint pain
• Slower recovery
• Insulin resistance
• Reduced muscle repair
• Brain fog
• Accelerated aging
Your body should remove these cells naturally, but modern lifestyles make that process harder.
The Ugly
When senescent cells build up, they start influencing the cells around them.
One bad cell can essentially convince neighboring cells to become dysfunctional too.
This cascade has been linked to many age-related conditions like:
• Heart disease
• Osteoarthritis
• Neurodegenerative disease
• Metabolic dysfunction
• Loss of muscle and strength
Researchers in the field of Gerontology and aging biology now consider senescent cell accumulation one of the major hallmarks of aging.
But the exciting part is this:
Lifestyle choices strongly influence how quickly these cells build up and how well your body clears them.
Simple Daily Habits That Help Fight Senescent Cells
You don’t need expensive supplements or complicated protocols.
Your body already has powerful systems to remove these cells — we just need to support them.
1. Move Every Day
Exercise is one of the most powerful natural “senolytics” (things that help remove senescent cells).
Both aerobic work and strength training help stimulate cellular cleanup processes.
What helps most:
• Zone 2 aerobic training
• Resistance training
• Short bursts of intensity
Movement signals the body:
Repair, rebuild, and remove damaged cells.
2. Don’t Overeat
Constant eating keeps growth pathways turned on.
Occasional metabolic breaks activate cellular cleanup systems like Autophagy, where the body recycles damaged cellular parts.
Helpful strategies:
• 12–14 hour overnight fast
• Avoid late-night snacking
• Focus on real, whole foods
This gives your body time to repair instead of constantly digesting.
3. Sleep Like It Matters
Poor sleep accelerates cellular aging.
During deep sleep the body:
• Reduces inflammation
• Repairs tissue
• Clears cellular waste
Aim for:
• Consistent sleep times
• Dark, cool room
• 7–9 hours when possible
4. Train Hard… Sometimes
Moderate stress signals the body to clean house.
Things that help:
• High intensity intervals
• Strength training
• Cold exposure
• Heat exposure (sauna)
These stressors stimulate repair pathways like Hormesis, where small stress makes the body stronger.
5. Eat Foods That Support Cellular Cleanup
Some natural compounds may help the body deal with senescent cells.
Foods rich in:
• Polyphenols
• Flavonoids
• Antioxidants
Examples include:
• Berries
• Green tea
• Dark leafy vegetables
• Olive oil
• Turmeric
These support anti-inflammatory and cellular repair pathways.
6. Manage Chronic Stress
Chronic stress hormones accelerate cellular aging.
Daily practices that help:
• Time outside
• Breath work
• Walking
• Meaningful relationships
•Prayer☝🏽
These help reduce inflammatory signaling that drives senescent cell buildup.
The Bottom Line
Aging isn’t just about time passing.
It’s about how well the body maintains and removes damaged cells.
Senescent cells are part of the process — but the lifestyle we choose determines whether they stay under control or start taking over.
The encouraging news is this:
The same habits that make you stronger, fitter, and more energetic today are also the ones that slow cellular aging tomorrow.
Move often.
Recover well.
Eat real food.
Sleep deeply.
If you were asked what matters most — the memories and value built with those you love, or the chance to start over with a substantial amount of money — most people know the “right” answer. But our actions often reveal something different.
Our culture has trained us to rely on money — or the lack of it. What we have. What we don’t have. Even many of our sentimental memories were built around things that money purchased. Without realizing it, we can slowly make money our security… even worse religion.
We are taught to always get something in return. But what if “more” actually meant building value? Cultivating joy. Taking care of the “little” things. What if being truly taken care of had nothing to do with money?
It’s hard to see every side when we haven’t lived every side. But just because we are used to living one way does not mean it is correct.
There is a reason the Bible is called the great instruction manual for life.
When voices around you create confusion and blur discernment, don’t allow people to distract or dictate the mission and calling the Lord has placed on your life.
No one knows that calling except the Holy Spirit who lives within you.
Through faithful reading, studying, and learning how the Lord has asked us to live, life actually becomes less complicated.
The confusion often comes when we elevate feelings and public opinion above what the King of Kings has already spoken.
And when we do that, we lose joy and Godly peace.
But Jesus said He came to give us life — and life abundantly (John 10:10). Not surface happiness. Not financial security. But abundant life rooted in Him.
So let us weigh everything — even the advice of those we love — against the Word of God. Let us rely on the Spirit of Truth. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the grave now lives in those who believe.
What God is doing in other people’s lives is often beyond our understanding. Let us not be prideful enough to think we can see what only He sees.
I long for unity — like the day of Pentecost in the book of Acts of the Apostles — when the Holy Spirit was poured out and believers shared so that no one was in need (Acts 2:1–4, 44–47).
We are seeing glimpses of that again, praise God, thank you to so many, you know who you are, we praise God for you!!☝🏽
And yes, sometimes things must get worse before they get better. But if change is coming, let it begin within us. Not from emotion. Not from fear. Not from pressure.
From the Helper.
From the Advocate.
From the Holy Spirit.
Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
2 Corinthians 3:17
