I've realized something about boundaries.
If I only think about what I'm saying NO to, they feel restrictive.
So I'm trying to ask a different question:
What am I actually saying YES to?
More room to breathe.
More time with people I love.
More energy for my clients.
More space to take care of my own body.
More curiosity.
More rest.
More ridiculous moments with the dogs.
More opportunities I actually WANT.
More of the life I'm intentionally trying to build.
That's the part I think we sometimes miss.
The goal isn't to create a smaller life.
It's to protect enough space for a fuller one.
That's a big part of what a Full Color Life means to me.
And the older I get, the more willing I am to keep raising the bar for what quality of life looks like.
Not perfection.
Not constant happiness.
Just becoming increasingly intentional about what gets to occupy this very finite life.
What are you trying to make MORE room for?

09/17/2026

Here's something I think we get wrong about boundaries.
We expect the RIGHT boundary to FEEL right.
Immediately.
Peaceful.
Empowering.
Cue inspirational music. 😂
And sometimes it does.
Other times?
You feel guilty.
You second-guess yourself.
Someone is disappointed.
You wonder whether you should just undo the whole thing.
Discomfort isn't always evidence that you've made the wrong choice.
Sometimes it's evidence that you're doing something differently.
A question I find much more useful is:
What is this boundary protecting?
My health?
My time?
My relationships?
My energy?
My ability to show up for something that matters more?
That's usually where the interesting answer lives.

We talk about budgets with money all the time but dang it we do a poor job of stepping into the role of accounting for our energy budget too.
Most of us…welllll We say yes.And yes. And sure And I can And yes again…And I can probably squeeze that in… you get the point
I’ve been hosting events, going to concerts, remodeling the garage, freaking out about a snake IN the garage, being jealous of the life my dogs are living and just ya know living my life as I do….Yesterday despite feeling pretty tired I was going to start mudding the garage wall, even though I’d already had a full day.
THEN something awesome happened, all the work I’ve done over the years to be more aware helped me draw a boundary – with myself!!! Because sometimes we are our own worst enemy.
Instead of spending some energy budget that would have put me in withdrawal (which would have suck because I do NOT have overdraft protection right now) I put myself down for a nap, yep just like a toddler – tucked myself in.
It was an absolutely delicious nap. I woke up feeling refreshed, clear headed and ready to pay closer attention to what’s been getting my energy lately and is that actually how I want to spend it.
What has been getting more of your energy lately than you actually want to give it?

09/15/2026

I've been thinking a lot about something lately.
Sometimes the healthiest decision isn't figuring out how to do MORE.
Sometimes it's deciding what you're willing to stop carrying.
And that can be surprisingly hard when the thing you're considering isn't BAD.
It might actually be something you care about.
Something you worked hard on.
Something other people expect from you.
Something you thought would be part of the plan.
I've had a few of those decisions lately.
And I keep coming back to something I talk about all the time at Yes to Holistic Health:
What actually supports the life you're trying to create?
Not the life you were building two years ago.
Not the life someone else thinks you should want.
Your life.
Right now.
I think creating a Full Color Life means continually raising the bar for what quality of life means to you.
And occasionally that means admitting:
This doesn't fit anymore.
That isn't failure.
Sometimes it's information.
This week's theme is Breath & Boundaries.
Apparently I'm getting an opportunity to practice what I preach. 😉

What up... Katrina Dill here --- labor day weekend was full of home remodeling, a delay to move a snake and one last dip in the pool...so how does my 40+ year old mind and body get back in the game each morning.

this is me, within 5 minutes of waking up - I'm out in the yard with the pups doing a quick Qigong routine that takes me less than 3 minutes....alot of days I do closer to 10 minutes and as a Qigong practitioner I make sure I do longer sessions a few times a week so I can show up for my clients...but this little ditty here is my morning 99% of the day....

I'd love to see you try it out, let me know how you feel

let me know if you've got any questions

What happens when a personal stylist, realtor, esthetician and holistic health practitioner meet through a local women’s networking group?

Beauty 360 begins to take shape.

In this behind-the-scenes conversation, we’re sharing how four women from completely different businesses came together to create an experience that explores beauty from the inside out.

This is not a vendor fair or three hours of presentations. Beauty 360 is an interactive evening centered around:

• Your Presence
• Your Space
• Your Skin
• Your Whole Self

The evening will also include food, w**e and mocktail options, dessert, meaningful conversation, special take-home gifts and time to connect with other women in the community.

Proceeds after event expenses will benefit Purple Runway, extending the impact of the evening beyond those in the room.

Thursday, September 10, 2026

Space is intentionally limited. Reserve your ticket here:

What's up people?

Life feeling like ALOT? Find yourself using the word "BUSY" more often? Seriously - that is like a 4 letter word!!! the bad kind...I'm going to share with you the #1 secret I discovered that was THE gamechanger my health..I won't even make you scroll a bunch for it.

Wellness/Life/Happiness...is not about Perfection, it's about Perspective.......That's it

Here is a little video showing that in action.

I get to spend my days helping people navigate wellness and currently my evenings and weekends are a mix of house remodeling, dealing with insurance claims from faulty contractors and storm damage and doing some corporate compliance consult work....and YES enjoying time with my amazing partner and pups..

The outcome means my office space is a bit...well of a hot mess

Sometimes I don’t need another wellness strategy.

I need a mountain.

We recently got out to hike Old Rag, and part of the reason was pretty simple:

• We needed to offload some stress.
• Not optimize it.
• Not make a spreadsheet about it.
• Not buy a supplement for it.
• Walk.
• Climb.
• Breathe.
• Get quiet enough that the nervous system gets a chance to stop yelling for a minute.

One of the tricky things about chronic stress is that when it goes on long enough, we can start treating things that aren’t actually optimal as though they’re simply normal for us.

Tight shoulders? ……That’s just me.

Lower back hurting again? …….Normal.

Headaches all week? …………Apparently this is adulthood now.

Constantly feeling like you’re bracing for something? ……..Welcome to Tuesday.

• But sometimes you need enough of a break from the pattern to notice the pattern. That was one of the gifts of getting outside for us.
• Move the body.
• Get away from the noise.
• Notice what feels different.

And then, because balance is important, we stopped by Far Gohn Brewing Company afterward for some c***r and chill time.

This is my preferred interpretation of whole-person wellness.

Old Rag is close enough to us that we can actually make the trip without needing an entire vacation around it, and I already can’t wait to get back out there.

Where do you go in the Culpepper or FXBG area when you need enough space to get quiet, reset, and notice how you’re actually feeling?
