Impossible to replace.
Our senior night game was unexpectedly cancelled, potentially leaving these fellas with a bittersweet end to their college careers.
Instead of panicking or feeling sorry, they quickly pivoted - and helped created the framework for an impromptu intrasquad scrimmage.
It ended up being a better finish to their careers than one could have asked for, with the seniors taking the court as one, one final time - with family and friends intently cheering them on from the crowd.
That’s just it with this group, they’ve always been ready and willing to sacrifice for this program. Over the past four years, they’ve battled uncertainty, injuries, schedule changes, roster turnover and maybe worst of all - 6AM practices. And each they have handled with maturity and humility.
Max, Nate, Joey, Carter and Noah - you have embodied what it means to be a Spring Arbor Cougar, and have laid the framework for what it takes to grow as a program both on and off the court, and to do so humbly. You are all impossible to replace.
