It’s a new week and it’s a busy one for the CISD Canyon Lake High Hawks student-athletes and coaches! This week (Monday-Saturday, Sept. 7-12) gets rolling Tuesday with home Canyon Lake Volleyball game.
The Hawks volleyball teams host the Blanco Panthers at CLHS, 8555 FM 32, Fischer. The matches are at 5 p.m. (JV Green and JV Gold) and 6 p.m. (Varsity). Tickets are available online at: https://brushfire.com/comal-isd/clhs-vb/635785
On Wednesday, the Hawks JV Girls Golf Team kicks off the golf season with the first Scramble Series. The Hawks tee off at 8:10 a.m. at Willow Springs Golf Course, 202 Frost Bank Center Drive, San Antonio.
Later the same day, the CLHS Varsity Tennis Team hosts the Fredericksburg Battlin’ Billies at CLHS, 8555 FM 32, Fischer. The matches start at 3:30 p.m.
The CLHS JV Tennis Teams compete in the Marble Falls Sub-Varsity Hill Country Take Over Tournament, Thursday and Saturday, Sept. 10 and 12. On Thursday, the Hawks Cross Country Team competes in the Canyon Cougar Invitational at Max Starcke Park, 1115 South Austin, Seguin. This meet features a rolling start with the 5A-6A Varsity Girls starting at 7:30 a.m. followed by 5A-6A Varsity Boys, 1A-4A Varsity Girls, 1A-4A Varsity Boys, JV Girls and JV Boys.

Also on Thursday, the CLHS JV Tennis Team plays the Fredericksburg Battlin’ Billies at Fredericksburg High School, 1107 Texas 16 South, Fredericksburg. The matches start at 4 p.m.
The Hawks freshmen and JV football teams hit the road Thursday to play the Medina Valley Creek View Cougars at Creek View High School, 308 CR 381, San Antonio. The fun continues Friday, Sept. 11, with the Canyon Lake Hawks Volleyball Teams taking on the Randolph Ro-Hawks (did you know the Ro-Hawks name comes from a combination of Rocket and Hawks because the school district really couldn’t decide between those two mascots so it combined them into Ro-Hawks).
The matches are at the Randolph High School Secondary Schools Competition Gym, Bldg. 1225 W. Perimeter Road, Universal City. The matches are 5 p.m. (Varsity) and 6 p.m. (JV Green and JV Gold). Please note that the Varsity match is scheduled for the earlier time.

Finally, the Canyon Lake HS Football Varsity Hawks are home Friday where they host the Creek View Cougars at 7:30 p.m. The game kicks off at 7:30 p.m. at Hawks Stadium, 8555 FM 32, Fischer.
