🏐 MEET COACH KATIE! 🏐

We’re excited to introduce Coach Katie!

Originally from Michigan, Katie grew up around the volleyball court, watching her parents play until she could be on the court herself and then fell in love!

Katie is an engineer and project manager and has called the River Valley community home for the past 12 years with her husband, Zach, and their daughters, Lexi (11) and Blakely (8). Their family is constantly on the go with activities, but when they get the chance, they love finding an adventure—being outside, hiking, paddleboarding, finding live music, and trying new foods.

Katie is also entering her fourth season coaching youth soccer. Soccer wasn’t a sport she grew up playing, but when there was a need for a coach, she stepped in—and it confirmed how much she loved coaching and wanted it to be a part of her life.

Now she’s beyond excited to bring that passion for coaching to the volleyball court, with the sport she’s loved her whole life.

Katie is excited to help each player grow their skills while creating a team culture where the girls support one another, lift each other up, work hard, have fun, and feel proud to be part of the team.

Coach Katie can’t wait to get started and is looking forward to a great season working with our 12s team🏐🤍

🏐 Coach Spotlight | Welcome, Brianna Fisher!🏐

Please join us in welcoming Brianna Fisher to the Western Elite family as our 15’s Head Coach!

Brianna is heading into her third year of teaching at RVHS and her second year coaching junior high volleyball. Originally from Medford, Wisconsin, she loves staying active by hiking, traveling, and playing volleyball.

She’s passionate about helping athletes grow, building confidence on and off the court, and creating a positive, competitive environment where players can develop their skills and love for the game.

We’re excited to have Coach Brianna leading our 15’s team this season. Welcome to Western Elite! 💙🖤

This is for
the small club volleyball family.

The one that does not always have
the biggest name.

The fanciest gear.

The longest roster.

The most attention.

The one where parents
still pack the coolers,
drive the miles,
check the brackets,
and believe in their daughters
just as much.

Because love does not care
what logo is on the warmup.

Commitment is commitment.

A hard practice
is still a hard practice.

A nervous serve
still takes courage.

A daughter walking into a gym
trying to believe in herself
still matters.

Maybe nobody is filming.

Maybe nobody is ranking.

Maybe nobody outside that court
knows how much she has grown.

But you do.

You know the girl
who started.

You know the girl
who kept working.

You know the girl
who came back
after hard weekends
and tried again.

And that is the real story.

Not the size of the club.

Not the name
on the schedule.

The girl being built
inside the game.

That is enough.

⭐️ Youth Basketball Players - Come try out!! ⭐️

We understand that tournament schedules for many youth basketball teams are not released until mid-to-late November, and teams often don't have the ability to choose which tournaments their teams attend. We don't want potential schedule conflicts to keep anyone from trying out for volleyball, and we certainly don't want young athletes to feel they have to choose one sport over another.

With that in mind, we will wait until our usual late-November timeframe to schedule tournaments for our 12s, 13s, and 14s teams. Please note that this may mean we are not able to secure all of our first-choice tournaments, but we believe supporting our multi-sport athletes is the right approach. 💙 🖤 🏐

🏐 Meet Your 17’s Coach: Taylor Briehl! 🏐

Western Elite is excited to welcome Taylor Briehl as the coach of our 17’s team!

🏐 Taylor spent this past club season coaching skills at Southport Volleyball Club and is currently an assistant coach for the boys varsity volleyball team at Kenosha Bradford High School. She’s also coached JV girls basketball and JV softball, proving she’s no stranger to developing athletes across multiple sports.

💪 As a high school athlete, Taylor was a three-sport standout at River Valley, earning All-Conference, All-State, and finishing her senior volleyball season as Player of the Year.

🏖️ The volleyball journey didn’t stop after graduation—she still competes in indoor leagues and grass tournaments whenever she gets the chance.

🩺 Off the court, Taylor is a chiropractor specializing in rehab and performance, giving her a unique understanding of movement, injury prevention, and helping athletes perform at their best.

🥎 She played four years of collegiate softball at University of Wisconsin–Whitewater before attending Palmer College of Chiropractic, where she also picked up rugby and competed for three years.

🏡 This fall, Taylor and her boyfriend, Jack, will be moving back to the area to practice chiropractic together.

When she’s not coaching or treating patients, you’ll find her in the gym, searching for the next great coffee shop or restaurant, playing volleyball, or hanging out with her family (and her sister’s dog 🐶).

We’re thrilled to have a River Valley alum back home and leading our 17’s team. Help us give Coach Taylor Briehl a warm Western Elite welcome! 💙🖤🏐
