Nobody starts OCR already good at it.
Our open division has zero penalties for not being able to complete an obstacle because we reward effort, not perfection.

Success looks different for everyone. Maybe it's the podium, maybe it's your first hold on the rig, maybe it's just crossing the start line.

Progress over perfection. Every single time.

Now, go get signed up and I'll see you on the course.

Some racers show up solo. Matthew and Emily show up as a team. Every time.

They start together. They struggle together. They celebrate the wins together. And no matter what the course throws at them, they finish together.

There's something about watching a couple choose to do hard things side by side instead of alone. It's one thing to face an obstacle course. It's another to face it hand in hand with the person you've built a life with.

This is a great reminder of why we build this type of challenge. Life doesn't hand you the easy days. It hands you the hard ones, and it asks who's going to be next to you when they show up.

Matthew and Emily answer that question every race... Each other.

Tag a couple who takes on hard things together.

In 2024, Aliyah took home second place overall in the Women's Elite 10K. In 2025, she podiumed again, second in her age group.

Doesn't matter what we throw at her. Rigs, walls, mud, hills... she gets through it. And somehow, she comes out the other side with her hair p**f and hoop earrings still perfectly intact.

Here's the thing about Aliyah. She's probably one of the only people who wishes we had more rigs. We already run more hanging grip obstacles than almost any other race out there. Most competitors dread them. Aliyah wants seconds.

That tells you everything about how she trains and how she thinks. The obstacle other people fear is the one she's chasing.

Off the course, Aliyah owns her own gym and coaches out of Exton, PA. If you're in the area and want to train with someone who genuinely loves the hard stuff, look her up.

This is why we do what we do. Life's going to hand you the thing you didn't ask for and don't want... the setback, the hard conversation, the obstacle you can't avoid. Aliyah's whole approach is proof that you can flip that dread into hunger. The obstacle you fear most is the one worth chasing.

Yaris is our 2024 Overall Women's Champion. She earned that title after spending most of race week on her feet, volunteering to help us with setup.

Most competitors show up rested. Yaris showed up after almost a full week of work and won anyway.
That's just who she is.

Off the course, Yaris owns her own remodeling business in Puerto Rico. Hard, physical, hands on work is her normal, not the exception. So when she steps up to the start line, she's not doing anything she hasn't already trained her whole life to do.

In 2025, Yaris decided to raise the bar even higher and take on the Bearded Challenge, our multi-lap event. Then, the morning before the race even started, she took a hard fall. A lot of people would've called it there. Yaris still lined up and took on the course anyway.

Her focus on course is intense, the kind that can look a little intimidating from a distance. But talk to her for five minutes and that intensity turns into warmth. She's one of the kindest people in this community once you get past the game face.

This is what facing hard things looks like. Not waiting for the right conditions. Showing up in the wrong ones and doing it anyway.
