Due to the rain, forecast, and unfriendly conditions, the Spring Valley Golf Course will be CLOSED for the remainder of today, Monday, September 14th.

All remaining tee times for today have been canceled. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding as we continue to protect the course.

We will reopen tomorrow morning.

Join us in celebrating the absolute legend himself, Bob Rupakus, for securing the prestigious Fairway Mower of the Month title for an unprecedented TWO MONTHS IN A ROW! 🏆🏆✨

Was it a hard-fought battle? Absolutely.
Did it come down to a razor-thin margin? You bet.

In fact, it came down to just ONE SINGLE VOTE... which happened to be cast by Bob himself! 🗳️ But hey, you can’t argue with the math, and you definitely have to trust the science! 🧬📊

COURSE CLOSED TODAY

Due to much-needed rainfall, the Spring Valley Golf Course will be closed for the remainder of today, Thursday, September 3rd.

* Golf Course & Putting/Chipping Greens: Closed for the rest of the day to protect the turf and course conditions.

* Reopening: We expect to resume normal operations tomorrow morning.

We are doing something that we've never done before! We want to absolutely RAVE about a company called Dirt Bullies Landscaping of Prescott, WI.

Amazing people and company!

Communication? Excellent! They did exactly what they said they'd do exactly when they promised to do it! Pretty rare nowadays.

Quality? Truly Excellent! The retaining wall they did looks amazing! The pinned and/or glued EVERY block and EVERY capstone. They definitely take pride in their work.

Price? Fantastic! Very reasonable and, to be honest, probably less expensive than it should have been.

I personally vouch for these guys if you need any landscape work done. You won't find anyone better.

⛳️ Spring Valley Golf Course Update #7: Welcome to Hecklers Roost! ⛳️

Another classic case of "Who knew?!" 🤷‍♂️😂

Who knew that switching to a steel roof would lower the friction of the rainfall so much that the water would just fly right over the eavestroughs instead of into them? Because of that little physics lesson, the runoff has been slowly washing away our retaining wall. Oops! Definitely not on our radar!

But don't worry, we've got a plan:

* 🚜 The Fix: Dirt Bullies will be here in two weeks to completely repair and reinforce the wall.

* ☀️ The Upgrades (Upstairs): After the repair, we are adding an awesome outdoor deck! This will be the premier spot for outdoor seating and, of course, for any "hecklers" who want to cheer on (or critique) the putters on the #7 green.

* 🔥 The Upgrades (Downstairs): The area below the deck will be fully screened-in and decked out with nice outdoor furniture, a fire pit, cozy lighting, and fans. It’s going to be the ultimate place to kick back and hang out.

We are making progress every single day here at the Spring Valley Golf Course. We can't wait for you all to enjoy Hecklers Roost!

⛳️ Spring Valley Golf Course Update #6 – "Stay and Play Cabins" ⛳️

Exciting things are happening on the grounds! We are thrilled to share the next phase of our course enhancements.

🚜 What's New?

* Grain Bin "Stay and Play" Cabins: Dirt work is officially underway this year to build two unique, grain bin-style cabins! They will be perched right at the top of the old ski hill, tucked off to the side of Hole 17.

* Your Own Wheels: When you check-in for your stay, you'll be issued a personal 4-person golf cart (complete with a utility bed) to easily travel back and forth to your cabin.

* New Walking Path: If you've noticed the recent tree thinning and burning, this is why! We are improving the old ski slope to create a beautiful scenic walking path that leads right down to the community pond.

⛳️ Spring Valley Golf Course Update #5: Pond Work 💦

We’ve been hard at work out on the course trying to reestablish some beautiful pond habitats! We are focusing on three specific spots: one at Hole 6, and two ponds over at Holes 14/15.

A massive shoutout to the amazing skills of John Crownhart and Crownhart Excavating for helping us dig in and bring this vision to life! 🚜🙌

💸 The Leak & The Lesson

As some of you might have noticed, these ponds just aren't holding water right now.

Our original plan was to line them, but... wow. Who knew UV-proof plastic was that expensive?! 😅 Not us!

Because those liner prices made our jaws drop, we are pivoting to look into more affordable, natural alternatives like bentonite clay to seal them up. Once we get the water staying where it belongs, every single one of these ponds will feature lighted sprinklers for some stunning evening views. ✨

🏝 An Island with a Special Mission

If you look closely at the work happening on the middle pond, you'll see we built a brand-new island!

Our dream for this spot is to build a walking bridge leading out to the island, complete with a flagpole.

This will serve as a permanent honorarium to two legends of Spring Valley:

* Gordy "Doc" Emerson – Our brilliant course architect.
* Bill Emerson – Our "Superintendent of the Century!"

We are so excited to honor their incredible legacy right out here on the greens.
