Today is day 2 of our ADCC Trials Camp. Come on over, and test yourself mentally and physically. 🏆💪🏼
We train hard, but we have a lot of fun too! Come join us at Flow Theory Grappling. Message us for details!
Throwback Thursday: That time when Josh and Caleb slap boxed, but it was mostly still just a grappling match.
Kids 1st month will be free! Message us to signup.
We made some of these guys wait awhile, but the wait was worth it. I think I want to spread out individual promotions instead of having a single day every so often. It gives each person his own moment and it’s easier to relentlessly shark tank them 😎💪🏼. Almost done with this batch.
If anyone wants to come train, message me!
Congrats to Diego on earning his blue belt! Long road to purple, but the reward will be worth it.
In other news: Halcyon Jiu Jitsu is rebranding as Flow Theory Grappling. Our new location should be ready soon, after which we’ll be bringing back kids classes. If any adults want to train at our temporary place in the meantime, message me.

Are you guys getting enough sleep?
Studies show that people who don't get quality sleep or enough sleep are more likely to get sick after being exposed to a virus. (Extremely relevent to our current circumstances)
Consistent lack of sleep is also linked with other serious health issues such as heart disease, high blood, pressure, stroke, and more.
This is a great time to assess your sleeping habits and make some positive changes.
Do your best to get at least 8 hours of sleep per day.
How many hours of sleep are you guys getting currently?

These are the recommendations from the CDC on how to protect yourself from the COVID-19.
Clean your hands often:
• Wash them with soap and water for atleast 20 seconds
• Use hand sanitizer that containes at least 60% alcohol
• Resist the urge to touch your face with unwashed hands
Avoid close contact:
• The virus is thought to spread between people who are in close contact with one another (within about 6 feet).
• Avoid close contact with people who are sick. COVID-19 is spread through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes.
Stay home if your sick
• Unless going to get medical care
• Here is a link to the CDC's recommendations if you're sick - https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/if-you-are-sick/steps-when-sick.html?CDC_AA_refVal=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.cdc.gov%2Fcoronavirus%2F2019-ncov%2Fabout%2Fsteps-when-sick.html
Cover coughs and sneezes
• Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze or use the inside of your elbow.
• Throw used tissues in the trash.
• Immediately wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not readily available, clean your hands with a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.
Wear a facemask if you are sick
• If you are sick: You should wear a facemask when you are around other people (e.g., sharing a room or vehicle) and before you enter a healthcare provider’s office. If you are not able to wear a facemask (for example, because it causes trouble breathing), then you should do your best to cover your coughs and sneezes, and people who are caring for you should wear a facemask if they enter your room. Learn what to do if you are sick.
• If you are NOT sick: You do not need to wear a facemask unless you are caring for someone who is sick (and they are not able to wear a facemask). Facemasks may be in short supply and they should be saved for caregivers.
Clean and disinfect
• Clean AND disinfect frequently touched surfaces daily. This includes tables, doorknobs, light switches, counter-tops, handles, desks, phones, keyboards, toilets, faucets, and sinks.
If surfaces are dirty, clean them: Use detergent or soap and water prior to disinfection.
