I’m not saying we should never eat out or deprive ourselves from having occasional snacks we really enjoy.

All or nothing doesn’t work out well for most people.

I would, however, highly recommend looking at how often those things are happening! Especially if your goals fall into the realm of fat loss or improving your general health.

Usually if we start tracking it and paying attention, these Plan B meals are happening way more often than we would think.

Here are my 5 that I usually keep the ingredients for around the house 🤙🏼

- Salsa Verde Chicken
- Egg Roll in a Bowl
- Korean Ground Beef
- Chicken Fajitas
- Ground Beef Southwest Bowls
- A new recent bonus (Turkey Sausage, Veggie, Rice Skillet Meal — think Silver Dollar City)

There are many “functional” reason to train for life and athleticism.

Here’s one I didn’t know I’d be demonstrating today.

I hope Mr. Miyagi would be proud 🥹

What is your go-to combo for smoothies when you use vanilla protein?

I ran out of my chocolate whey and just had vanilla left.

I often use vanilla for a couple snack recipes I like, but as you can imagine from the title I chose… this combo of milk, banana, mixed berries, and vanilla protein distinctly reminds me of both the look and taste of the Pepto-Bismol I had growing up.

Needless to say, not my favorite flavor 😂 So I’d love to hear a better alternative.

(Disclaimer just to cover my bases, no actual pepto-bismol included here 🙂‍↔️)

My original plan was to share five of the meals I keep “on retainer” to help set us up for the best success, but Rex remembered he hasn’t had the spotlight in a while.

We’ll hit those meals another time because he also decided to slowly and mindfully.

In the chaos of prepping for another baby, I let myself go WAY too long without caring for my hair!

The positive side of that, however, was that it grew long enough to make my first hair donation ever, which I feel really excited about 🤍

Also, if you’re in the Springfield area, Jana at Blush Studio has been an absolute gem for me!

She listens, takes her time, makes you comfortable, and I’ve enjoyed myself every time I’ve been there.

Post-cut, I feel confident.

Thankfully not too confident though, thanks to my toddler, who laughed when I got home and told me to go “fix my hair back.”

Balance 🤌🏼

Feeling reset for current life in motherhood and training! 🤙🏼

Where are my antique-loving friends? Any tips or tricks on how I can identify the value of this table?

I can’t find a makers mark anywhere or other hidden indicators of the brand, etc., but I’d love to figure out whether this is worth keeping or selling 🤷🏻‍♀️

Thanks in advance!

As it turns out, some diapers are not for the faint of heart

What a crazy few weeks it’s been moving into our very full as-is house with a newborn and toddler 😅

I’ve moved LOTS of times, but the major difference this time was that I’d only ever moved while I was single. I’ve since learned there is a big difference when kiddos are involved 😂

The past couple weeks have covered the full spectrum of feelings—exciting, tiring, sentimental, thankful, overwhelming.

After getting moved out of our previous house, our first big challenge was going the first ~10 days without a water heater.

Probably the hardest part of that was 1) having a newborn which entails (for us) using some bottles, needing to wash them, etc., blowouts that you need to do laundry and baths for, and 2) our toddler getting the second stomach bug of her life the second day we moved in, which we also needed baths for.

Thankful for family close by who have generously shared their space with us for those things!

Those first few days it hit home just how much we use hot water in everyday life and what a privilege it is to access it.

Other major factors still to be resolved:

—The mystery of our upstairs air conditioning 😆
—Delayed septic system replacement

Another big positive: We’ve had such welcoming neighbors who’ve been so kind to us!

All in all, we’re super grateful to be moved and have our stuff all in one place again.

Things may be slower going than we’d prefer, but we’re enjoying getting to slowly make the space our own.

This has been a great opportunity for me personally to try and remember and practice the principle of controlling the things I can control and continuing to do the next right thing each day with the time I have, whatever that looks like.
