You may notice a few white legs out in the pasture! 🐴
Poultice is commonly used after exercise to help cool and soothe the legs, support tired tissues, and aid in recovery.
Knowing how to properly care for a horse goes far beyond riding. Our students learn hands-on skills like how and when to apply poultice and properly care for their horses after work.
Horsemanship is so much more than time in the saddle!

Yes, they are soaked from their sprinkler but were too nosy to stay over there while the boys dug the hole. 😂
Yes, they are easily entertained and ready to assist with every pasture project.
Pasture life means they deserve all the things! ❤️
Routine dental care is an important part of keeping our horses healthy, comfortable, and thriving. 🐴🦷
Yesterday, 24-year-old Nile had his annual dental appointment. While he continues to do great with yearly floating, every horse is different.
In fact, a few of our senior horses, ages 29 and 30, needed a tooth pulled to keep them comfortable and eating well. Regular dental exams help catch those issues before they become bigger problems & those horses are seen every 6 months.
A healthy mouth means better chewing, better digestion, better weight maintenance, and a happier horse. It’s one of the many pieces of the puzzle when it comes to caring for our senior horses.
