Miss Bindi made it to her new home yesterday evening. I can’t wait to see what this sweet girl achieves with her new mom Brooke. 🩷
This page will document the continued journey of horses trained by Emily and then adopted out through the Teens and Oregon Mustangs competition program.

Safe to say I don’t think Bindi is scared of getting wet 🥴
Mustangs are just the easiest horses to teach to load. I swear, they come from holding being just so agreeable about it. This is Bindi’s second time getting in the trailer, first time tied in and first time with the divider shut. She says - this is easy peasy lemon squeezy 🍋

The Steens crew : Tacoma, Rango & Lyra left with their new mom Lynne this morning. Thinking good thoughts for a safe drive for them all to Boise, ID to their overnight stop over. 🦄🦄🦄

Bindi has been so fun to work with and is such a kind soul. Yesterday she got all her vet work done for her health certificate and coggins to head to her mom in the next few weeks. In the meantime, she’s conquered her stranger danger (unless you want to take her temperature 🤣), learned to hard tie, gets to enjoy her window from her new stall in my personal barn, has learned to yield her hind quarters and shoulders, works well in the round pen, picks up her feet, is probably easier to catch than my personal domestic horses 😮💨 and is overall just a total lovebug and sweet girl. This little smarty pants has been so fun to have around for the last two and a half weeks but I’m so excited for her future with her mom! 🩷

Miss Bindi Sue went on her first walk out of her stall yesterday evening! After figuring out what the expectation was, she was absolutely fabulous and made the walk all the way across the ranch to the round pen, she even walked back politely on a loose lead and then hung out with me for a little bit while I talked to people. I let her loose in the round pen, expecting zoomies but she really just wanted to follow along behind me instead. Once we made it back to her stall for the night she got wormed and took the or was like a total champ as well. Brooke Tuchman got an absolute GEM 💎 of a filly 🩷

Meet Bindi! I drove Kylee’s 2025 TOAM over to the corrals to pick a horse last Thursday for a client I referred to her and Bindi came home as well! Bindi is a 2 year old south steens filly only with me to gain her handling skills before she goes home to her mom, but we worked through the process hand selecting her together and it was so fun!
I was able to get first touches with Bindi in the chutes waiting to be haltered but she has just exceeded every expectation since unloading.
In 6 days, Miss Bindi is leading well, yielding her shoulders and hind quarters, had been brushed all over and her mane and tail brushed out, she picks up her front feet and is drag free! Such a smart cookie! She is so friendly and meets everyone at her stall door begging for pets and attention.
I have to say, I’m a little sad I didn’t adopt Bindi for myself! She’s going to make a wonderful smart riding horse for her new family 🩷
Also - peep this little ladies most ADORABLE curly ears. My Arabians are jealous of those fancy tippy little ears 🫢
