We’re HOME this Saturday and ready for a FULL day of Chargers volleyball! 🧡💙

From our boys kicking things off to our girls closing out the night, it’s going to be a great day in the gym!

All 🔟of our teams taking the court, so many opportunities to compete, grow, and represent the Lord well.

This is what it’s all about. 🧡💙🏐

After the game, Tulsa NOAH sought out one of our girls who had been injured to pray over her. 🙏🏼

These are the moments and situations you just don’t find everywhere, and we are so grateful for programs like theirs.

We can fight tooth and nail for every single point on the court, compete hard, and want to win… and then walk off that court and encourage one another, pray for one another, and remember what matters most.

A good rivalry is FUN. Competition can be fierce without being ugly.

So thankful for programs that compete with us but also share the bigger purpose. This is so much more than volleyball. 🤍

Today we’re celebrating #30, Anessa Thompson.

Anessa brings hard work, heart, and a love for the Lord to the court. We are so thankful to have her as part of our Chargers family and proud of the example she sets for those around her.

We could not be more proud of the way our Chargers showed up, competed, and represented our program this weekend! 🧡💙

🏆 Varsity Boys — SHOW ME SHOWDOWN CHAMPIONS!
🏆 JV Girls — SHOW ME SHOWDOWN CHAMPIONS!
🏆 14U Girls — SHOW ME SHOWDOWN CHAMPIONS!
🏆 12U Girls — SHOW ME SHOWDOWN CHAMPIONS!

🥈 Varsity Girls — 2nd Place GOLD!
Our Varsity ladies battled it out against Oklahoma Flame in an incredible FIVE-SET championship match! They fought point for point until the very end and came up just short, securing 2nd place in the Gold Division! What a battle and what a way to compete! 🔥🏐

🥉 JVC Girls — 3rd Place SILVER!
These girls worked hard all weekend and battled their way to a 3rd-place finish in the Silver Division!

💪🏼 JV Boys — 4th Place!
Our JV boys competed in a tough boys division against some top-notch Varsity and JV teams and finished 4th overall! What an opportunity for this young team to compete at that level and keep growing!

FOUR SHOW ME SHOWDOWN CHAMPIONS! 🏆🏆🏆🏆
A Gold Division runner-up.
A Silver Division 3rd-place finish. A 4th-place Boys division finish.
And a whole lot of Chargers volleyball to be proud of! 🧡💙

But more than the medals and finishes, we are proud of the way these athletes competed, encouraged one another, and represented the Chargers and Christ both on and off the court.

Today we’re celebrating #11, Jackson Leeper, and the competitiveness, faith, leadership, and sense of humor he brings to our Chargers family.

Their last FIRST game. 🥹🏐💙

This morning our senior boys step on the court for the first time of their final season as Chargers.

One last season. One last ride. Soak it all in, boys. Play hard, lead well, and make every moment count.

WHAT. A. MATCH. 🔥🏐

Our Varsity girls battled the Mt. Vernon Mountaineers for FIVE intense sets. Every single set was within just a few points. Back and forth. Point for point. Neither team willing to give an inch.

And our Chargers fans PACKED the gym and CHEERED LOUD! 📣 It was nearly 100 degrees in that gym, and we ALL sweated it out together. 😂🥵 Players, coaches, families, fans… everybody!

Then came that fifth set…

17-15. CHARGERS WIN! ⚡️🔥

The energy. The crowd. The fight. The SWEAT. 😂 A gym full of people on their feet cheering these girls on until the very last point.

THAT is a home opener. 🧡💙🏐

And we can’t end the night without shouting out our JVC and JV girls, who played great games too! So proud of the way ALL of our girls competed tonight and represented Chargers Volleyball.

What a night to be a Charger. 🧡💙⚡️
