🩷THE PINK CHAISE PICTURES 🩷

Because apparently riding 20, 44, 66 or 100 miles wasn’t enough… we also needed to make you pose on a fabulous pink chaise. 😂🚴‍♀️

We had SO much fun seeing everyone stop, sit, smile and celebrate their ride!

Thanks for playing along with one of our favorite little traditions to the CCC. 🩷

Thank you Cindy Harris and Chris Scheufele for capturing our event!

Ride the legacy. Earn the story. Take it home with you. In 2026, every Capital City Century rider won’t just complete a ride — they’ll leave with it in hand. The first 350 registrants will receive a commemorative pint glass, and new for this ...

The 54th Annual Capital City Century is officially in the books, and after months of planning, worrying, changing plans, changing routes, changing routes AGAIN and working through a million little details, seeing everyone roll out and come back safely made it all worth it.

To every single person who chose to spend their Saturday riding with us…..you could have ridden anywhere, and you chose our event. I hope you felt welcomed, supported and proud when you crossed that finish line.

To our volunteers — I truly cannot thank you enough. So many of you showed up early, stayed late, stood in the heat, cooked food, handed out snacks, directed riders, drove SAG, worked intersections, helped with parking, cleaned up and simply asked, “What do you need?” Those four words mean more to us than you probably realize.

To our sponsors and everyone who supported this event in ways big and small — thank you for believing in what the Springfield Bicycle Club is doing and helping us continue a tradition that has now been around for 54 years.

Moments to remember…

I had the chance to meet a cyclist who rode in the very first Capital City Century. How cool is that?!

The cyclist who won the Garmin Edge 850 didn’t have a bike computer yet!! Of all the people who could have won it, I think we can safely say that Garmin found the right home.

The woman who was only going to do 66 miles but her friends talked her into doing the 100? AMAZING!!

To everyone who also rolled with our last-minute road construction and route changes — an extra thank you.

Months of planning and yesterday, I got to stand back for a few moments and watch it all come together.

That was pretty special.

Thank you for showing up. Thank you for helping. Thank you for riding. Thank you for being part of the Capital City Century.

Today my brain is officially done making decisions for a minute. Considering I’ve barely been home all week, I have a dog who is LONG overdue for some serious cuddles.

So today, that’s exactly where you’ll find me.

Heart full. Feet up. Poppy cuddles. And absolutely NO route changes. 😂❤️🚴‍♀️

CONGRATULATIONS JUSTIN COURIER!!

Justin was the winner of the Garmin 850! He also completed 100 miles today! Fun fact - Justin did not have a bike computer!

Thank you Wheel Fast Bicycle Company for donating the Garmin 850!!

He is 81 years young AND he rode in the very first CCC 54 years ago!

He is riding today and he tells me his still snow ski’s!!

I made a quick video explaining what changed and what you need to know before tomorrow.

UPDATE TO THE UPDATE!!!
One more important route update before Saturday’s Capital City Century!

Due to construction, we have made a change to the BLUE LOOP. The Blue Loop is included in the 44-, 66-, and 100-mile distances.

🚨 RIDING 44, 66 OR 100 MILES?
Please REDOWNLOAD your routes!!

While the Blue Loop is the only loop that changed, we strongly recommend deleting your previously downloaded CCC routes and downloading ALL of them again—juuuust in case. 😉 That way, you know you have the most current version of everything before you roll out Saturday morning.

This applies whether you are using the continuous route or the individual loop files.

20-mile riders: You’re good! The 20-mile route does not include the Blue Loop and has not changed.

We know this is an update to the update. Apparently the roads wanted one last opportunity to keep us on our toes. 😂

Please take a few minutes tonight to redownload your routes.

Thank you for rolling with the changes. We’ll see you Saturday!

Updates on Blue Loop

We hope you are ready for a great ride tomorrow! We have learned that there is a construction project on part of the blue loop that may impact riders doing the 44-, 66- and 100-mile routes. Later today a revised route will be released and we ask that you download this.

Sincere apologies for the last-minute announcement. Please watch your email this evening for the link to the revised route.

Capital City Century Riders,

Saturday is shaping up to be a HOT one! Current forecasts are calling for temperatures to climb into the mid-90s, so hydration needs to be part of your ride plan—not an afterthought.

Please start hydrating NOW. Don’t wait until Saturday morning or until you feel thirsty on the bike.

A few reminders:

Arrive Saturday well hydrated
Bring plenty of water AND electrolytes
Drink regularly throughout your ride—before you feel thirsty
Take advantage of our rest stops to refill, refuel and cool down
Know your limits. Heat changes the ride, so adjust your pace and mileage if needed
Pay attention to how you’re feeling and look out for your fellow riders
100-mile riders: Remember, there is a 29-mile stretch without a CCC aid station, so make sure you leave the previous stop with enough fluids to get you through that section. Casey’s in Williamsville is available along the route if you need an additional stop.

This is not a race. There is absolutely no prize for pushing through when your body is telling you otherwise. Ride smart, hydrate often, and make adjustments if the heat is getting to you.

🥇 **GOLD SPONSOR — WHEELFAST BICYCLE CO.** 🚴

Some sponsors support the ride. **WheelFast lives the ride.**

We’re incredibly excited to have **WheelFast Bicycle Co.** as a **Gold Sponsor of the 54th Annual Capital City Century!**

WheelFast has been a longtime part of our local cycling community, and their support of the CCC goes beyond sponsorship. They help keep our riders rolling — and this year they’ve made things even more fun by donating a **Garmin Edge 850** that one lucky registered rider will take home! 👀

When a local bike shop steps up to support a local bicycle club and one of the area’s longest-running cycling events, it just makes sense.

🚲 Bikes.
🛠️ Support.
🏆 A seriously good giveaway.
❤️ And a whole lot of love for our cycling community.

**Thank you, WheelFast, for being a GOLD-level partner and helping us make the 2026 Capital City Century one to remember!**
