Our mission is to celebrate health and wellness, outdoor adventures and wildlife conservation in the beauty of the Ozarks. Our programs are designed to include activities for people of all ages, backgrounds, fitness levels and areas of interest. The Bass Pro Shops Fitness Series is a series of not-for-profit events sponsored by Bass Pro Shops and our dedicated community volunteers and sponsors.

Tomorrow is RACE DAY! 🏃‍♀️

Before you head to bed tonight, take one last look at your Race Day Checklist and make sure you’re ready to go!

A few important reminders for the morning:

6 Miler Start: 7:00 AM
3 Miler Start: 7:15 AM
Location: Top of the Rock, 150 Top of the Rock Rd, Ridgedale, MO 65739

Give yourself plenty of time to arrive, park, and make your way to the start line. You don’t want to start race morning feeling rushed!

The course will remain open until 8:30 AM, with a 1.5-hour course time limit.

Get some rest, set those alarms, and we’ll see you bright and early at Top of the Rock! 🎉

It’s officially RACE WEEK! 🎉 Here are a few important reminders to help you feel ready for Saturday!

PACKET PICKUP
We STRONGLY encourage you to pick up your packet Thursday afternoon if you can! We’ll be at Bass Pro Shops from 3:30–6:00 PM.

Please remember:
• You must bring your ID.
• You may only pick up your own packet or your spouse’s packet.

AID STATIONS
Aid stations will be located approximately every two miles along the course, with water and Powerade available at each one. Porta-Potties will be located near the start/finish area.

START + FINISH LINE
The start line is located next to the Top of the Rock Golf Course and Nature’s Cathedral. The finish area is located just down the hill from the Start line.

Give yourself plenty of time Saturday morning to arrive, get parked, and make your way to the start line without feeling rushed.

When Melissa moved to Springfield in 2007, one of the first things she did was call Bass Pro Shops to ask how she could get involved with the Fitness Series. She began with the Wellness Conference in 2008 before stepping into her current role in 2010. What started as a desire to serve grew into years of steadfast leadership and an unwavering belief in the mission of helping people discover what they are capable of.

Ask Melissa why she continues to come back year after year, and her answer isn't about the races—it's about the people. From volunteers and participants to Bass Pro team members, she believes each person plays a role in making the Fitness Series what it is.

Melissa, thank you for never giving up on this mission or on the people it serves. Your leadership, grit, and unwavering belief have carried the Fitness Series through every challenge and every triumph. You have inspired thousands to discover they are capable of more than they ever imagined, and all of us are better because you made that phone call in 2007. We couldn't have asked for a better leader. 💙

Danny has been part of the Fitness Series story from the very beginning. In the early years, he was the person we trusted to take care of our celebrity runners, making sure they felt welcomed and taken care of throughout their time with us. Over the years, he has continued to help in countless ways, including being there to help with so much of the printing and behind-the-scenes work that helped our events come together.

And then, of course, there is Dogwood Canyon. Danny has become such a fixture there that he now has a place all his own: “Danny’s Corner.” It is hard to imagine Dogwood without him there, just like it is hard to imagine the Fitness Series without Danny as part of it.

Danny, you are so incredibly special to this team. Thank you for showing up for us year after year and for being such an important part of the last 20 years.
