We are National Champs again! ❤️🎉🦁💙Congratulations to our Jr and Sr Pro Cheer Lions competition cheer teams on both winning first place at Eastern/Americheer Great Smokey Mountains National Championship in Gatlinburg, Tennessee today! Our Jr team was also the only team at the competition to win a full paid bid to The Internationals Cheer Championship in Orlando, Florida next spring. Such an honor! So proud of my kids and love them so much! What a great day! A big thank you to my assistant coaches for all of their help and hard work (love you all! ) and to all of our cheer team families for making the trip. Thank you so much Jenna for being my traveling buddy! Love my Lions! Always! 🥰🥰🥰🥰

Feeling very emotional tonight. Tonight was the night I began my 50th year as a dance , cheerleading and gymnastics teacher. 🥰 It’s so unbelievable even to me as I say it. That I have been blessed to be able to do what I love almost my entire life. And I still feel the same happiness and excitement as I walk into my studio every night as I have for all of these years. When I was 5 years old I knew I was going to be a dance teacher and at 14 years old that dream came true as I opened my studio while a freshman in high school. And here we are ☺️ If you have walked through those doors over all of these years, you have been loved. ❤️ Every single one of you. I hope you have felt that and know you will always be special to me. Sincerely. The relationships that my studio has brought me for so many years are the most treasured part of my life. I have been blessed to watch thousands of you grow up and now get to teach and watch your mini me’s grow. My best friends started out as students and grew up with me and we have shared so many memories and important life events. I don’t know where my life would’ve gone if I hadn’t started my beloved career so young but I just knew this would be my life and I wouldn’t trade a minute of it for anything. Please bear with me this year as I share lots of pictures and memories and I hope all of my former and present students will do so too. That would mean so much to me! I’m looking forward to an amazing anniversary year and to the next 50! 😊 😉 I love my kids! Always and forever ❤️🎉👯‍♀️⭐️💜

Classes offered in tap, jazz/hip hop, ballet, gymnastics, baton and cheerleading.
Boys, girls and adults ages 2 and up. Preschoolers a specialty!

Sonie's School of Dance, Gymnastics and Cheerleading is announcing open registration days for our 2022-2023 season.

Monday through Thursday this week (August 15th - 18th ) from 4:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m. each night at our beautiful location, 1608 Upper Valley Pike in the Springfield Plaza. We are right next door to Joann Fabrics by Dunham’s.

Classes start the week of September 6th. Our class schedule for the year will be set from this registration week. You can tell us what days and times are best for you and we work around your schedule! Also you will receive 10% off any lesson fees paid in advance at registration. 😊 We will be having placement clinics for our National Champion Pro Cheer Lions competition cheer teams, Sunday August 21st and 28th. We offer 4 teams of different ages (age 5 through 12th grade) and ability levels. You can also register to join one of our 4 teams this week at registration. 🎉💙🦁First practice will be September 11th.

Sonie’s Stars of Tomorrow R***e 2022
We did it! 🥰 Recital #49 was amazing! So proud of all of my kids and the wonderful show they put on. My dancers, gymnasts and cheerleaders were fantastic! Everyone worked so hard this year and there was so much improvement in each students’ performance. I was teary with emotion and pride all night both shows. I love my kids with all of my heart and my studio family is the most important thing in the world to me. It has been my whole life and to have so many second generation students (and a few third! 😳😊) makes it even more special. I still feel the same joy every day teaching as I did that first day (at age 14) I walked in my studio to teach. ❤️

This was a tough year with all of my husband Doug’s health issues going on right as we were planning the show. We had to postpone it to get him through some of the hardest parts and I’m so grateful to my studio parents and students for your understanding and patience. I was determined to have our usual amazing shows and would not disappoint my kids. Your love, kindness and caring helped get me through it all and I am so thankful for every single one of you. Ready to get the new year started and can’t wait to be back in class with all of my kids in September! Love you bunches!

Back to the Clark County Fair! ❤️ Thank you to all of our students who participated in our show Saturday. What a great turn out! A scary moment as we had just started our show with some of our gymnastics students and that big storm decided to hit. After everyone waited safely in the Youth building for it to leave, we started again and had a great show. So much fun after missing the past two years due to Covid. This has always been a wonderful tradition with our studio and I am so happy to be able to continue it with my students. I know lots of our alumni have great memories made at the fair over all of these years. I sure love my kids and am thankful to be able to offer lots of fun events for them. We are making memories! 😊❤️🎉👯‍♀️🎉💜
