Day 23/60š„
Itās a bit of a read, so I appreciate it if you get through itš
Iāve been seeing so much āscience based liftingā content while scrolling lately that I had to talk about it.
It is genuinely such a lazy way to train. Can you build a lot of muscle with it? Sure. Can you build just as much if not more muscle just lifting heavy with good form and a full range of motion? Absolutely!
They get some stuff right. Specifically, the focus on progressive overload and sticking to the same exercises for a long period of time.
Butā¦
The way they go about it drives me crazy. āStandardized ROMā might be the worst one. Basically, as long as your form on all your reps looks similar the range of motion doesnāt matter. Or what it looks like to me⦠āThis part of the lift is hard, so Iām going to stop the rep here, but itās okay because Iām pushing hard and my form is consistentāš
It used to be common for people to try to get stronger in the most difficult portion of a lift. These days they just donāt do that portion and use āscienceā as an excuse.
On top of all this, a lot of these guys will call you stupid or re****ed just because you disagree with them or choose to train a different way. If you wanna train that way then go ahead. But donāt act like your way is the only way and pretend people havenāt been getting the same or better results with other forms of training for decades.
I could continue on, but Iād be typing for a while. Just donāt be lazy in the gym. Machines are great. Free weights are great. Use both, train with intensity, and be consistent.
Oh⦠AND HAVE FUN!
Donāt train like a robot. Follow meā¼ļø
Day 22/60š„
A little progress update on what my body is looking like.
I still have a good bit of fat to lose in the front and I absolutely hate videoing with my shirt off stillā¦
At least my back is looking leanš¤·š¼āāļø
And that last bit with the straps⦠Iām just really tired of the people that say, āif your grip isnāt the limiting factor your back is just weak.ā
My grip couldāve kept going in that set, but my back was fried. I can do almost 20 full ROM pull-ups at over 200lbs body weight. I promise my back isnāt weak.
ā¼ļøI post content to help simplify fitness. Follow me if thatās something you want more ofšā¼ļø
Day 20/60š„
A third of the way there. Iāve definitely not been as strict as I want to be with my diet, so itās time to focus up. I have a massive appetite, so when there is a chance for me to eat a lot of food I have a hard time controlling myself.
So if you love food as much as I do, the easiest way to lose weight is:
ā
not keeping a lot of junk/snacky food in the house
ā
avoid eating out (obviously)
ā
eating high volume, low calorie meals (salads, chicken and potatoesā¦)
ā
do more cardio and just move more in general
One bad meal will not destroy your progress⦠BUT DONāT LET IT HAPPEN AGAINā¼ļø
(Iām speaking to myself)

Day 19/60š„
Missed a couple, but Iām back.
Basically all I want you to get out of this videoš”
ā¼ļøJust because you have some pain somewhere in your body, does not mean you should be skipping the gymā¼ļø
One of the biggest things that will halt your gym progress is regularly skipping because you have some kind of pain.
If you go to the gym regularly and train with intensity, there is a good chance something is going to start hurting at some point.
Iām not saying push through it. Iām saying to work around it and do some exercises that will hopefully help fix the pain eventually, so you can stay consistent and reach your goals.
I was hurting today, but I still got in the gym and actually improved on my bench from last time without aggravating my back.
Obviously donāt be stupid if you have a legit injury, but pain here and there is not an excuse to skip!

Day 16/60š„
Was very tempted to be lazy and not record anything, but not letting that happen again.
Iām locked in, feeling strong, and confident I can get to the leanest Iāve ever beenšŖ

A balanced diet of meat, healthy fats and carbs, fruits, and vegetables has worked for people for yearsā¦
But now this shredded shirtless dude with a concerningly red skin complexion eating raw meat is telling me vegetables have no nutritional value and seed oils are out to murder me and my family.
And this slightly chunky, but really strong looking vegan guy is telling me cows get sad when you milk them and meat is going to kill me.
Yep⦠Iām gonna choose one of the extreme options that eliminates entire food groups, because extreme is always better. Right guys? Right?š
There are tons of insane athletes and people that have lived very long healthy lives thanks to their balanced diets and an āeverything in moderationā mindset.
Eat whatever you want. I donāt care. But donāt go acting like youāre better than anybody else because you eat a certain way.
Rant over.

Every person online that was able to fix their really bad knees swears by backwards walking⦠letās give it a go and see if itās legitš„
I plan on doing these every day along with some other stuff that will hopefully fix my knees.
