What a day! 49 doubles teams joined us to honor our much-missed Tommy Roth in our annual Tom Roth Memorial Summer Doubles Tournament. This tournament features a tough, long format of 16 games for those teams who qualify for match play. It is a throwback to the days of all-night matches that were so prevalent in Tom's heyday. At the end of it all, Gary and Morgan Robinson bested everyone to be this year's champions... Congratulations! We want to offer a hearty "Thank You" to all who chose to bowl with us. We are already considering some tweaks for next year's edition.. after all, we'll ALL be another year older then, right? Holy Smokes! It's August 1st already! (Happy 45th birthday, MTV). When the calendar turns to August, we eat corn dogs at the State Fair and send the kiddos back to school and form Fall Bowling Leagues. We offer leagues for EVERYONE.. daytime leagues, nighttime leagues, weekday leagues, weekend leagues, men's leagues, women's leagues, mixed leagues, senior leagues, youth leagues - I think that's about it. August is State Fair time and back to school time and summer's last hurrah and, oh wait... time to form our Youth Bowling Program! We will be enrolling all interested bowlers on Saturday, August 29th between 9 am and 11 am. League bowling will actually begin on September 12th, so as not to spoil those Labor Day weekend plans. Can't make it on August 29th? Not to worry... we are not in the bad habit of telling clients "no." We will always make room for the future of our sport. Our Tom Roth Memorial Doubles Tournament is exactly one week away. The response has been strong this year... this is our 5th year of holding this event and our, like 1000th, format change. Based upon last year's tournament and this year's enthusiasm, we believe that we have found a format that works. Spots are still available... come join us and remember Tommy as fondly as we do at KING PIN LANES, always and still locally owned, since 1960.

Are you a grinder? Do you like longer formats? Do you wanna bowl lots of games to determine a champion? If "yes" is your answer to these questions, then we have just what you ordered... our Annual Tom Roth Handicap Doubles Tournament. All teams bowl 6 games across 12 lanes to qualify on one of our house patterns. Then, we cut to the top 10 teams for 10 more games of match play on a different house pattern. We have made some changes for the better this year, including a bonus for the leading qualifier and a guarantee that all teams making match play will cash, regardless of number of entries. Join us for lots of bowling on August 8th to honor our tournament's namesake - Tom Roth - at the place that he called home for over 40 years... KING PIN LANES, always and still locally owned, since 1960 (and still missing Tommy).

The 30th Annual Firecracker Tournament was another huge success, thanks to all of the great folks who choose to continue their support of our bowling clubhouse. Congratulations to the championship team, Solid 9 Pro Shop (Eric Clark, Alex Clark, Joe Gill, Kurt Riley) for a job very well done. As always, special thanks must go out to Jeff Smith, Lisa Smith, and Stacey Tipps for their seamless handling of all of the tournament duties. Also, it would be remiss to not send out a nod to the staff of KING PIN LANES who put forth extra effort to insure a pleasurable experience. So, same time next year.. see everyone at the 31st edition of our Firecracker Tournament in 2027 at KING PIN LANES, always and still locally owned, since 1960.

This years' edition of our Firecracker Tournament filled VERY quickly.... so much so that we have a long waiting list of teams hoping to gain a spot. SO... if anyone has a spot that has been reserved for this Friday, June 26th that they cannot fulfill, please let us know asap so we can pass it along to the next waiting team. Also, please check the rosters and averages listed to assure accuracy and let us know of any changes or errors. We are looking forward to another successful event at KING PIN LANES, always and still locally owned, since 1960.

Our 30th Annual Firecracker Tournament will be held on June 26th at 7 pm. Although our office internet issue has been somewhat resolved, I still do not have the capability of posting the entry form... yet (I did, however, get our people their paychecks on time). Spots are limited to 36 teams of 4 bowlers per team. Please send entry requests via Facebook... PLEASE INCLUDE Team Name and roster. Hopefully, I can post the entry form before the tournament starts.
