Western New England Golden Gloves is a sub-franchise of the National Golden Gloves which is a national advancing tournament sanction by USA Broxing and governed by Golden Gloves of America Inc. Western New England Golden Gloves covers the geographic region of the State of Connecticut as well as Central and Western Massachusetts.
It is the intentions of the Western New England Golden Gloves to hold a yearly tournament establishing the top amateur boxers in each weight class. It is also the intentions of the Western New England Golden Gloves to assist area clubs and gyms who participate in the Golden Gloves Tournament with increasing its talent base while providing these athletes the opportunity to showcase their talents at both the local and national level. Through this assistance we hope to promote an environment where young athletes can establish physical and emotional well-being and social skills while developing individual athletic skills, work ethic, discipline, sportsmanship, self-respect, personal character and pride.
