During last weekends race Mads kx112 started making a slapping/knocking noise. She got it through the weekend. Its her new bike that has been a absolute lemon since we got it. It has a motor from one of her other kx112s on it so she could stay contingent with her Kawasaki sponsorship. This motor we are using has alot of hours so we were a little stressed if it would make it anyway. We were hoping the shop that warranty rebuilt the motor originally, and was taking care of the issue a second time had everything in by now so we could pick it up while we were in the kc area last weekend. No luck, after a few months, they had a cylinder and a piston... no bottom end.
Now Mad has 3 bikes down. We are going to work on getting one of them back together, we have everything for it except time to work on it.
In the meantime she is using a borrowed gas gas 85 this week at training. Shes riding it really well. Shes always loved her kawi's but it might be time to let them go and not have the contingency. Were not done with superminis yet, and shes not ready to make the jump to her yz125 yet. Shes riding this mc85 too good to not consider trying ktm/gasgas/husky again..

Wish Mad luck that her luck changes today. So far its been a rough morning. Flat front tire, missed practice. The tire was fighting to get changed, nothing was going right. Got the tire changed and barely got her on the line for moto 1. She got a incredible start out the gate, but during the moto she caught a rut and went end over end with the bike, bike landed on top of her, the person who saw it was surprised she even got up from it. She got up and fought through the pain to finish.
We got her front end straightened back out, shes resting a bit before her next moto.
Shes tough, stubborn, but thats what it takes to race MX.

Holeshot competition at Bar 2 Bar MX, Madilynn barely got the win.
Both of these kiddos train at 4-State Moto Complex, they have very similar riding positions.
Pretty cool that their trainer got to be the judge too!
Thank you Big Day Productions and Shoot for Beauty Photography for these awesome shots!

Bike maintenance today. Mads clutches and pressure plate were smoked. New clutch, cleaned and tuned carb, new chain, sprockets, brakes, plug, clean filter, fresh coolant. Hopefully the bike makes it through this coming race weekend now.
We are still waiting on a new motor from kawi to come in for it, we are running one of her other bikes motors on it right now.

See that first pic, thats our girl looking up saying some prayers and letting out some stress 💚💜
Last night we went to GAS MX to race the Heartland MX Championship Series . She practiced from 9-2, races started at 6 and went until about midnight, it was a long day! She looked great all through practice, during the night she started slowing down, we assumed exhaustion, because we were! Lol when 2nd motos hit her bike decided it was done 😪. We weren't planning on her racing her 125 anytime soon, but she busted it out last night! She absolutely played it safe for all our sanity! Shes so tiny on it!
On the brightside, we were able to snag a new sponsor at the races! Welcome to the family Artemis Optics!
