Prenatal and Postpartum fitness instruction, with Crossfit Level 1 Coach Joselyn Miller.

Motherhood Strong convinced all of the CrossFit classes today to take on the Girl WOD Kelly together: 5 rounds of a 400m run, 30 box jumps, and 30 wall balls.

It was HOT. It was hard. And it was so much better because we did it together.

This is one of the things I love most about CrossFit: it’s infinitely scalable. A mom 10 weeks postpartum can do the same workout alongside a dad who’s been doing CrossFit for 10 years, a friend working around an injury, and a grandma who just wants to get stronger.

Different bodies. Different seasons. Different abilities. Same community. Same work.

CrossFit really is for everyone — but I’ll always believe it’s especially powerful for moms.

So grateful we got to join forces with our friends today and do hard things together.

Motherhood Strong was created around a simple belief: moms shouldn’t have to choose between caring for their families and caring for themselves.

That’s why childcare is such an important part of our community. It allows moms to show up, get stronger, and find a little space for themselves while their kids are right there with them.

We’re looking for a few awesome people to join our Childcare Team!

In exchange for 7 childcare shifts per month, you’ll receive an unlimited gym membership ($150/month value) plus free Fundamentals classes.

We’re specifically looking for availability for our 9:15 AM or 4:30 PM shifts.

Interested? Text Joselyn at 618-979-7309 to apply.

Because athleticism doesn’t end when motherhood begins—and sometimes a little childcare is what makes it possible.

Meet Coach Kelly 🤍⁣⁣
⁣⁣
If you know Kelly, you know she has this really special way of making people feel seen. She’s thoughtful, encouraging, incredibly knowledgeable, and somehow always seems to notice the little things that matter.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Kelly has been an athlete her whole life and an educator, so coaching was a pretty natural fit. She gets to combine two things she loves: movement and helping people learn. But what makes her coaching especially meaningful is that she’s also lived this season herself.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Kelly is a mom of three, and each of her experiences looked a little different. They shaped the way she coaches—not just in how she approaches movement, but in how she helps women recognize that their experience matters.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
She loves being the coach she didn’t have but needed during her first pregnancy and postpartum season.⁣⁣
And honestly, that perfectly sums up why we love having her on the Motherhood Strong team. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Kelly is also a Special Educator and Behavior Analyst, and that background shows up in the way she coaches. She knows that everyone learns differently, moves differently, and brings different strengths to the gym. She’s constantly asking herself, “What does this athlete need from me?” and adjusting from there.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
But perhaps the sweetest part of Kelly’s story is what this community has given back to her.⁣ Three years ago Kelly and her family moved here knowing almost no one. Through the gym they eventually found a whole village. Her three babies are growing up in the gym, and now she gets to coach the moms who have become part of her village.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
That’s what we hope Motherhood Strong can be for women—and we love that Kelly gets to experience it from both sides. 🤍⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Kelly is happiest with a cup of coffee, moving her body, being outside, and playing like a kid with her babies. You can find her jumping off the diving board and flying down the slides all summer long. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
And if you’re wondering about her favorite movement: squat sn**ch, followed closely by wall balls and back squats.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
We are so lucky to have you, Kel. Thank you for bringing your heart, your incredible brain, and your genuine love for moms to Motherhood Strong.

Meet Coach Lauren! 🤍

Lauren’s coaching journey started with a very relatable goal: get ONE pull-up before she died. 😂 Along the way, she realized fitness is so much more than a pull-up—it’s about confidence, strength, and discovering that movement is truly for every woman, no matter where she starts. Now, she loves helping other women feel that same sense of “I can do this.”

🏋️‍♀️ Why PPA? Lauren often wishes she had this kind of support during her first two pregnancies, especially while navigating a high-risk twin pregnancy. She’s passionate about reminding women that movement can be medicine, and gently challenging the idea that pregnancy means being fragile or stopping movement altogether.

☕️ Little joys: Early morning coffee before the house wakes up, post-dinner Lego builds with her kids, and slow rainy-day puzzles with her family all piled around the table.

💪 Favorite movement: Overhead squat

🧠 Something you should know: Lauren has trained through a wide range of injuries and truly believes there is always a way to keep moving—you just have to find it.

👩‍⚕️ Before coaching: She was a pediatric occupational therapist, and that background shows up in everything she does—from creatively modifying movements, to understanding anatomy, to meeting moms right where they are (especially when life with kids feels a little chaotic).

🌿 Outside the gym: You’ll usually find her outside with her family, soaking up fresh air—coffee in hand if she can help it.

🌊 A Florida girl at heart, Lauren will always miss the ocean, but she’s fully embraced life in St. Charles. She homeschools 3 of her 4 kids and dreams of a big, thriving garden full of vegetables, herbs, and flowers…if the Japanese beetles and birds would kindly cooperate. 😂

We feel so grateful to have Lauren on the Motherhood Strong team—she brings so much warmth, wisdom, and heart to every woman she coaches. ❤️

Meet Coach Amy 🤍

Amy has a gift for helping women see just how strong and capable they already are. Whether you’re pregnant, newly postpartum, or years into motherhood, she’ll meet you exactly where you are while helping you build confidence in moving your body safely—and without ever underestimating what you’re capable of.

As a mom in a later season of motherhood, Amy brings a perspective that’s both grounding and encouraging. She reminds us that this stage of life is demanding, and it’s okay to feel exhausted, frustrated, or overwhelmed. Acknowledge the struggle, give yourself grace, and keep showing up. Those small, consistent steps matter.

A few fun facts about Amy:
• She starts every morning with a workout followed by a hot cup of coffee—and if she misses it, her whole day feels a little off.
• Her favorite movement is the clean, but she’s just as happy heading out for a long, steady run.
• Outside the gym, you’ll most likely find her spending quality time with family and friends.

One of our favorite things about Amy is her coaching style. She won’t hesitate to support you if today is a day to scale—but she’ll also be the first to slide a little more weight onto your bar when she knows you’re stronger than you think. She has an incredible ability to be exactly the coach you need that day.

We’re so grateful to have Amy helping women discover their strength through every season of motherhood. If you’ve taken one of her classes, leave her some love in the comments! 💙

🤍 We’re Growing Our Childcare Team! 🤍

We’re looking for a few wonderful people to join our childcare team during our 9:15 AM and 4:30 PM classes.

This is a great opportunity for a mom (or anyone who loves kids!) who wants to prioritize her own health while being part of an encouraging community.

Here’s how it works:
✨ Supervise childcare during your assigned classes.
✨ In exchange, you’ll receive an unlimited Coefficient CrossFit membership (a $150/month value).

This is not a paid position—it’s a membership exchange designed for someone who wants to invest in their own health while helping other parents do the same.

Our childcare team is an essential part of what makes our community so special. By caring for our members’ little ones, you’re giving moms and dads the opportunity to prioritize their physical and mental health, knowing their children are in a safe, fun environment.

If you’re dependable, love working with children, and are interested in joining our team, send us a message! We’d love to chat.

Tag someone who would be a great fit! 🤍

2 weeks postpartum. 🤍

She makes our family feel complete. We are absolutely over the moon. The girls adore their baby sister, and we’ve been soaking up every sweet moment together as a family. My heart is so full.

I’m also incredibly grateful for my staff for holding down the fort at the gym while I step away to enjoy this season. Knowing everything is in such good hands has allowed me to be fully present where I’m needed most.

I did sneak up to the gym today. At 2 weeks postpartum, I’m not chasing PRs or crushing a metcon—and that’s exactly how it should be. Today looked like gentle breath work, squats to a low box, and reconnecting with my body.

After nearly two months away from training, I can definitely tell my posterior chain has gone on vacation. 😅 Right now the goal isn’t intensity—it’s simply finding my glutes again, coordinating movement with breath, and laying the foundation for a strong, patient return. Every rep is an investment in long-term recovery.

Recovery is training, too.

While I wait for our sweet baby girl to make her arrival, it’s the perfect time to reintroduce you to the incredible women behind Motherhood Strong. 🤍

I truly can’t say enough about these coaches. Our community is so fortunate to have Amy, Kelly, and Lauren leading classes while I step away for a few weeks to welcome our newest little one.

Each of these women has completed the Pregnancy & Postpartum Athleticism certification through , and each brings her own unique experiences with pregnancy, birth, motherhood, and coaching to every class. Their knowledge, compassion, and commitment to serving moms make Motherhood Strong what it is.

It is such an honor to lead this team as we work together to provide the very best experience in maternal fitness—from pregnancy through postpartum and beyond.

Over the next few weeks, you’ll get to know each of these amazing women a little better. I can’t wait to introduce them while I happily distract my very pregnant brain. 🥹♥️

Still waiting on our baby.

Even with a fourth baby, these final days of pregnancy are always a reminder to slow down, surrender, and remember that it’s all in God’s hands.

I’ve done this waiting before, but this time feels especially hard. Maybe it’s the summer heat, the trials that were part of this journey, or just the anticipation of meeting the little girl who will make our family complete.

No matter how anxious the waiting feels, I know she’ll arrive exactly when she’s meant to. In God’s perfect timing, she’ll be here—and when she is, so many hearts will be full.

Until then, we wait and know that God is good all the time. 📸 by Gretchen Day - St. Louis Photographer

When Car Seat Cleaning STL | Luxe Buckles asked a few weeks ago if I would be up for a stroller cleaning, I immediately said yes. This bad boy has been through 3 kids in 8 years, the bassinet I purchased on Facebook marketplace with a friend and has seen at least 3 babies, and honestly everything was filthy. I can remember hosing down the stroller exactly one time in all those years. So, to say that I’m grateful that it’s like brand new and ready for baby girl 4 in a few weeks (or days!) is an understatement. Reach out to Car Seat Cleaning STL | Luxe Buckles for your car seat and stroller cleaning needs. She picked up, cleaned, and dropped off in the same day and it has been a dream of an experience.
