Announcing the 2026 Veteran’s Classic. Our 3rd Veteran’s Classic is going to be held on Nov 21, 2026. This fun tournament not only honors the Veterans participating, it also benefits the residents of the Michigan Veteran Homes in Chesterfield, MI.

Entry will be available shortly for this 30 boat event. You may have an unlimited number of anglers on your boat but we will have a 9 rod limit. Entry will be $150 per boat and we are reserving spaces for the teams that fished our first two events. We are asking that everyone get a Vet on board their boat, we have special prizes and awards for them.

We are also looking for additional sponsors for this event, please send a message if you’d like to help the LSCWA honor our Veterans.

The 2026 Perch ‘n Pig was held today and it was a great day to fish and enjoy another fun tournament with the LSCWA. Chris & Susu, of Angler’s Point once again welcomed us to their marina and many of our members enjoyed sitting at the Anchor Bay Tiki Bar watching the weigh-in, enjoying a cold drink on the shore of beautiful Lake St. Clair. Vicki was so helpful to us in running the biggest & best perch tournament on LSC, she deserves a special thank you from everyone.

First place went to the team of Josh & Jake with a 13.59lb bag.

Second place went to team Sweetwater (Don, Dr. Kirk and Mike) with a bag of 13.57 lbs.

Third place went to team Fish-n-addiction (Nick, Chad & Katie) with a bag of 13.28 lbs.

The big fish of our 2026 perch tournaments was caught by Nick Markowski. His jumbo perch went 14 1/8” and weighed 1.13 lbs. Nick’s fish will be mounted by the LSCWA and presented to him at one of our future club meetings.

Thank you to everyone who entered this year’s perch tournaments, it was great seeing so many new faces along with the regular group that comes out and fishes. Special thank you to my members who helped make these tournaments possible, helping with set up, running the weigh in, cooking and cleaning. Pete & Nancy Kohnen, Dick Benson, Don Murray, Nicole Benson all helped make today run flawlessly. I also would like to thank the people today that came up and gave us compliments today on how well things were run.

Good morning to our perch & pig entrants, remember today’s weigh-in is from 3-4 pm at Angler’s Point. You will receive armbands for your team members when you weigh your fish for the pulled pork lunch we’re serving up following the weigh-in.
