Craig Marshell's group got a GOOD ONE yesterday. Georges first Muskie ever was a Moster. She measured 53 1/3. We didn't put her on the scale, but my guess is Upper 30 Lbs. George did an outstanding job on the rod!!!!!! Call a book your Fall Muskie trip on 586-260-4066

We fished a couple Muskie Tournaments this past weekend. The 3rd Annual Freedom Tournament - LSC and 2023 Bill Maerten 40 Pound Derby and Summer Slam! We got lucky and got another nice one. We took first place in the MOMC CPR division with a 53"er and took the big fish of the tournament award in the Freedom tournament. Unfortunately, we couldn't get a big enough 2nd fish to place in the top 2 muskie total inches in the Freedom Tournament. As the Captain, I made a bad decision on Sunday which cost my crew. The crew was more than outstanding, again!!!

The Muskie Maina crew took home 2nd Place in the 2023 Muskie Bash. I could not ask for a better crew. While I was driving the boat through a 13-foot-high w**d bed the crew worked their asses off for over 22 hours keeping the baits clean. Back and forth and back again and again. No one ever complained once. Can't thank you guys enough!!!!! Congratulation to Chris and the Teeko crew on their 3rd place finish and of course Chuck Smith and his crew the Premonition on your Muskie Bash Title

The Nightmare is over. Canada is officially open to pleasure fishing!!!! The Roman Crew started the 2021 Canadian season off the right way going 11-14 with a 48". Still have openings this week. PM trips only. Open tomorrow because of a last minute cancelation. Call to book

Canada has eased some travel restrictions for fully vaccinated Canadian citizens and permanent residents crossing the U.S. border. Canadian citizens and permanent Canadian residents may begin entering Canada without quarantining afterward on July 5 if they are fully vaccinated, this does not apply to U.S. citizens and residents traveling to Canada. I have made the very difficult decision to shut Muskie Mania until the border opens for Americans. We did not cross the border last year due the border closer and ran several trips in US waters and it was not even close to what our paying customers should experience. Too be honest it was absolutely miserable. Both countries US and Canada have agreed to keep the crossings closed to nonessential international travelers until at least July 21. We are push all bookings until after July 21st. Hopefully, the border will open then we can start the 2021 Muskie Season. Our end of July /August calendar is fulling up fast due to the shorten season, so if you are looking for a charter this summer you need to book soon as possible. I hope the US and Canadian government make the right decision and open the border up. They are killing small businesses on both sides of the shipping channel.

Charter fishing and guide operations
Under provisions detailed in Executive Order 2020-77, charter and fishing guide operations that involve boats, canoes and other marine vessels may resume activities on May 7, 2020, provided they:
Prohibit gatherings of any size in which people cannot maintain six feet of distance from one another.
Limit in-person interaction with clients and patrons to the maximum extent possible, and bar any such interaction in which people cannot maintain six feet of distance from one another.
Provide personal protective equipment such as gloves, goggles, face shields, and face masks as appropriate for the activity being performed.
Adopt protocols to limit the sharing of tools and equipment to the maximum extent possible and to ensure frequent and thorough cleaning of tools, equipment, and frequently touched surfaces.
In addition to the DNR Law Enforcement Division, Michigan State Police and local law enforcement agencies have full authority to enforce the provisions of this order.
