On a night where attendance was a little better, the 06 Champs were in the house, and with everything THIS weekend is supposed to be; seeing the young Cards hitters flourish last night was nice.

Jordan Walker 2-4 with 2 runs scored (did leave late due to an injury)

Alec Burleson 2-4 with 2 RBI including a 2B

Joshua Baez 3-4 with a pair of 2B & RBI

Leo Bernal 3-4 with 2 RBI including a 2B

These are the guys who you hope will fill the lineup, amongst another TOP PROSPECT in Raniel Rodriguez. Add in a Jesus Baez, plus 1 more guy who actually can hit, and all of a sudden you have one heck of a lineup.

Brutal loss, all in all it doesn't matter as they're playing out the schedule, but it's tough to have that type of lead in the 8th (6-1) and lose. Not a happy flight. A big 💣 by Bernal which I love to see, and a solid start by Pallante. Andre with a sub 3.50 ERA is definitely impressing with contending around the corner.

What a heady play by Bernal. Bases loaded and 1 out, tie game in the 10th, a little tapper hit in front of home. Leo picks the ball up, keeps his foot on home, and throws to first for the inning ending double play! Headed to the 11th!
