Seattle Seahawks Safety Jamal Adams forced his way out of New York and the gain was all Seattle. Adams does not have sticky coverage skills but as a close to the line of scrimmage warrior, Adams is a force. The former Jet is always looking for the big hit, is a crafty blitzer and plays zone coverage well.

LB Jordyn Brooks is a mad dog player who is always looking to hit someone. Though Brooks is a liability in pass coverage, the former Texas Tech Red Raider is quick to decipher the run, slips blocks well and thumps the ball carrier on contact. Seattle Seahawks

Fred Warner is the most elite inside linebacker in the NFL and can play in any scheme and have success. Not only is Warner a valuable player with the equal ability to play top notch versus the run and pass, but he is a leader first and foremost. San Francisco 49ers

The San Francisco 49ers have a gang of running backs but look for rookie Trey Sermon to be the full-time starter. The former Buckeye has good vision, finds the hole quickly and hits the second level with a burst.

Rookie CB Robert Rochell plays with a chip on his shoulder and will grow as a player being around Jalen Ramsey. Rochell has smooth hip flexion, can stick his foot in the ground to close and works to finish every rep with urgency. Los Angeles Rams

Arizona Cardinals Rookie LB Zaven Collins is everything Isaiah Simmons is not and that bodes well for the defense. Collins is a tackle to tackle run stuffer who hits like a truck. He will counter Simmons who is more of a run and cover linebacker. They should complement each other very well.

Safety Antoine Winfield gained confidence every passing week in 2020. By the end of the season, Winfield was the top player in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers secondary. Winfield has solid spatial awareness, reads the route tree well and is decisive in his movements.

New Orleans Saints LB Demario Davis seems to get better with age. Not only does Davis still make plays to the outside with his speed, but he has become a stalwart interior defender who can thump, bump and tackle with the best in the game.

Morgan Fox can line up anywhere along the defensive front and create mayhem in the backfield as a pass rusher. The former Ram is relentless as a rusher, has a good push and pull move and disrupts the pocket. Coming off a six-sack year in 2020, look for Fox to be a 10-plus sack man in 2021. Carolina Panthers

Look for rookie safety Richie Grant to earn a starting nod heading into week one. Grant is a ball-hawk who comes to balance well in the open field and makes hard tackles look easy. Atlanta Falcons

Veteran CB Patrick Peterson might not have the jets he once had, but the All-Pro still can shut down top end receivers with guile, knowledge and impressive retention of his opponent. Minnesota Vikings
