Our STL Camogie team competed in their first-ever Intermediate match at Nationals in Philadelphia! 🇺🇸💪

While in Philly, teammates had the joy of reuniting with other players from Caman to Carnew crew.

Now, with summer tournaments behind us, we’re getting ready to kick off the fall season. 🍂🏑

Last Sunday was our last game for our spring league and what a season it’s been. Huge thanks to our sponsors, Everything Automotive and Always Hard, for backing our ladies all the way. 💪⚙️💖

We’re celebrating all the hard work tonight at McGurk’s with our end-of-season party and Camogie (and Hurling) awards 🏆

Grateful for the teamwork and support that carried us through the season. Can’t wait to be back on the field this fall! 💚

Earlier this month, the Gaelic (Irish) Athletic Association decreed that camogie players (camogie is the women's form of hurling) must continue to wear skorts instead of shorts as the players had requested. The GAA cancelled the Muenster final when the women of Cork and Waterford stated they would not play if skorts were required.

STL's hurling men joined the STL camogie women in protest and solidarity by wearing skorts while competing together with the women.

Today, the decision was overturned and camogs now have freedom of choice.
