There are beatdowns... and then there are institutions.

Last week, Wet W***y marked the passing of the shovel flags from Brown Trout to Margo.

Nearly every previous Site Q returned to help lead the beatdown—Frozone, Zero Turn, Rub Down, Cousin Eddy, Rhinestone Cowboy, and Brown Trout. A fitting reminder that no one man builds an AO. Each simply takes his turn carrying the mission before passing it to the next HIM.

During the COT, Brown Trout asked a simple question:

”If Wet W***y was your first AO, raise your hand.”

Out of 50 PAX, nearly 40 hands went into the air.

That moment said everything.

Wet W***y has been where countless men first discovered F3, found brothers, and began their leadership journey. As Brown Trout shared, ”This place is special. It’s where we fall down and get up together... where we have found strength... and where we do all these things as brothers.”

Brown Trout didn’t measure his year by accomplishments. Instead, he described his greatest blessing as having a front-row seat to so many men improving themselves alongside him.

Leadership doesn’t leave Wet W***y. It multiplies from it.

Congratulations to Brown Trout on a faithful 43, and congratulations to Margo as he takes the shovel flags. The next chapter of one of the St. Louis Mega Region’s cornerstone AOs is in good hands.

If variety is the spice of life, Meramec is one of the best-seasoned regions in F3.

Whether you’re looking to chase some miles, move some weight, play a game, get some active recovery, or just looking for a solid beatdown and better men, there’s an AO with your name on it.

Different workouts. Different locations. Same mission.

Can you believe this is free? Come and see!

The next ’43 of The Levee begins today as Mason Jar handed the shovel flag to the next man up, Pushover.

The Levee has grown and accelerated under Mason Jar’s steadfast, humble leadership. He led with consistency, served without seeking recognition, and built upon the strong foundation laid by the men before him—leaving the AO better than he found it.

It was especially fitting that previous site Qs Wuhan, Meatloaf, Mulligan, and Saab were there to help lead and witness the handoff—a reminder that each leader builds on the work of those before him.

At this morning’s COT, Mason Jar summed up what leadership in F3 is all about:

> “I pray that my ceiling will be your floor, and I know you will take this site to an even higher level.”

That’s exactly how strong leaders think. They don’t measure success by what they accomplish during their watch, but by how well they prepare the next man to take it even farther.

Now the shovel flag passes to Pushover, who will build on that same foundation and continue accelerating The Levee.

Thank you, Mason Jar, for leading from the front and leaving it better than you found it. We’re excited to see where the next ’43 takes The Levee.

We kicked off the weekend with a smoke show! The Wet W***y shared leadership team put together a heckuva a beatdown for our M’s and 2.0’s, with equal parts fun and hard work. We had everything from tire flips, field goal kicks, full-size hungry hungry hippo, tug-o-wars and oh so much more! Dr. Thunder brought the thunder with a great COT to close us out!

And of course, which you're putting in that kind of hard work, you've got to refuel afterwards! Breakfasteria featured a bevy of tasty treats and beverages!

What a blast it was to share a bit of what we do in the gloom with our concentrica! Excellent planning, prep and ex*****on led to smiles for days and questions about when the next one is! Great work, men!

We had a birthday Q at The Levee this week. But it was no ordinary birthday. No, we welcomed Milwaukees Best (or Beast, as he’s often called in the gloom) into “Honor” status as he turned 70!!!

Age truly is just a number when it comes to Beast. He’s still rucking, bear crawlin’, kicking butt, and taking names with the best of them. But more importantly, he’s known for his far-reaching impact both in and out of the gloom.

He pours himself out as a whetstone, leads the charge through countless service and fundraising initiatives, and somehow still finds time to be a trophy husband along the way.

We tip our hats and gladly give “Honor” to a man we’re blessed to call a brother and HIM.

🚨NEW SITE ANNOUNCEMENT🚨

Launched last Thursday, Cottonwood Valley meets Tuesday’s and Thursday’s from 5:15am-6:15am at Leonard Park. Format: standard 45-minute bootcamp workout.

Site Q, Lawrence, shared this strong message with the pax at the launch:

“This name is rooted in the ground where we gather and the community we serve. It comes from the two towering cottonwood trees at Leonard Park and from the city of Valley Park.
Those trees represent strength, endurance, and deep roots. Valley Park represents community, resilience, and the men and families we’re called to lead and support.
Cottonwoods stand tall through storms, dig roots deep, and provide shade for others. That’s the kind of men we aim to become here—strong in adversity, grounded in purpose, and a source of encouragement for those around us.
The Valley reminds us that growth often happens in the low places—the hard seasons, the grind, the moments when we’re tested.
Cottonwood Valley is more than a location. It’s a place where men come to get stronger, build brotherhood, and sharpen one another.
Welcome to Cottonwood Valley. Now let’s get to work.”

Yesterday morning, 4-29-2026 84 HIMs across the greater St Louis area gathered to honor the legacy of Jason Richards, known as Falcon in the gloom.

As we gathered locally on the field he loved at Rockwood Summit, 100’s of men at dozens of AO’s across F3 Nation gathered to take on the Falcon Beatdown to honor man they never met in a town they have never been.

Cause that’s what we do, we lock arm in arm to support our brothers and never leave a man behind, and never leave him where we found them.

If you’re a man looking for something more - more purpose, more brotherhood, more out of yourself -come find us in the gloom.

This weekend we had the privilege of hosting founder Kyle Depiesse for a ruck + workshop.

We opened with a 3-mile ruck in the rain (aka perfect operating conditions), then stepped into Kyle’s “Living Art Gallery”—a powerful time to pause, reflect, and dig into the stuff we usually avoid.

Real conversations. No surface-level. The kind that build stronger bonds and deeper trust.

That’s just a taste of the impact of Guys Trip—and it’s a big part of why we show up in the gloom.

This experience was earned. Huge thanks to Ralph, founder of MABA (Make America Burpee Again), for awarding it to our region after having the most number of PAX to complete all 3,100 burpees.

Grateful for both Ralph and Kyle. If you haven’t checked out yet, do it! Life-changing, impactful work happening there.
