And just like that, WMRSCCA's Fall Grattan event is over. Check the comments for my fastest run. I was surprised to find that we had enough people in class that I was able to bring a trophy home.

We have two, hopefully number 3 can make it for tomorrow's autocross.

Although I'd rather my car not be down it was beneficial to have a co-drive already lined up for our final GRR event this season.

This car has come along way since Matt started autocrossing with it. For it to be a highly modified car and be able to be right up there in the pax standings for our region is awesome.

Looking forward to see how he furthers its progression for next year.

October 27th. Grattan Raceway. Super fun, and has a hillclimb feel although I can't really say that because I've never done a hillclimb.

The past few events have been great! The car has been working well and it's been giving me an opportunity to work on going faster instead of fixing issues, until today.

I enjoy going here because it's a significant change of pace compared to our local GRR events. We don't have enough space to do transitional elements like they do and I wanted to get some practice in. Of the 3 runs I got the car felt amazing and was doing very well. Going through the finish after my final morning run there was a big puff of smoke. At first I thought it was tire smoke but it got worse when I reved the motor.
The car sounds fine but smokes out the valve cover and it seems out the exhaust. We're guessing a piston ring broke but we'll know more when we can dig in to the motor.

Great event today put on by the Great River Region SCCA. Video linked at the end of the post. I ended up being mid-pack again which is to be expected with the current setup. I spent most of the runs making shock tuning adjustments trying to get the most compression/rebound I can without having mid-corner or corner exit hop/bounce. I think the front is pretty well dialed in. If we were going to be at SouthPark Mall again I'd mess with the rear settings but next event will be at Vibrant Arena. Looking forward to having the stickier tires on by then and messing with the shock tuning for that setup.
