Going into Week 13, numerous quarterbacks have either been placed on injured reserve or have been ruled out for the remainder of the season. Such significant position requires leadership, strategy, and intensity to survive at the professional level of football. There’s quite a difference in last season’s NFL standings, and repeated injuries are rapidly taking a toll on overall performances. Listed are quarterback injuries of the 2015 season, thus far:
Joe Flacco, Ravens: suffered a torn ACL and MCL and was ruled out for the remainder of the season.
Connor Shaw, Browns: surgery on his thumb and was placed on injured
Josh McCow, Browns: Ruled out for the season after breaking his collarbone.
Tony Romo, Cowboys: fractured a clavicle in a week 2 game against the Eagles and was placed on injured reserve. He made an incredible comeback in week 11, however, after a sack during week 12, he fell on his shoulder and has officially been ruled out for the remainder of the season.
Peyton Manning, Broncos: Manning tore a plantar fascia in his right foot, is out for the season and it is unclear when he will return to action.
Tom Savage, Texans: Savage suffered a right shoulder sprain and has been placed on injured reserve.
Andrew Luck, Colts: Luck is expected to miss two to six weeks due to a lacerated kidney and abdominal injuries.
Tyler Bray, Chiefs: Bray had surgery on his ACL and was placed on the reserve-non football injury list.
Sam Bradford, Eagles: Bradford missed week 12 with an AC joint sprain and is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Patriots.
Ben Roethlisberger, Steelers: Roethlisberger left the last game due to a concussion and is questionable to be available against the Colts on Sunday.
Cole Kaepernick, 49ers: Kaepernick has been placed on injured reserve with a left shoulder injury and will miss the remainder of the season.
Case Keenum, Rams: Keenum is questionable to suit up Sunday agasinst he Cardinals due to a head injury.
