Off the Grid Home Energy Analysis

Check out the amount of heat conducting into the home from/through the ceiling fan's electrical box in the attic. Also, in the background notice all the heat from the attic transferring down through all the 2x4 top plates. Simple spray foam can solve these problems. The reason people hire me to do these jobs is 1) An Infrared camera is needed to find and quantify these leaks and 2) Climbing around in the attic is VERY hot and dangerous!

Look at all the heat pouring through these can lights. BTW, the lights are, and have been turned off. This is heat coming through from the attic, and it never stops!

Did you know, your attic can reach 150 degrees F in the summer time! Just think of all that hot air pushing it's way into your home, every second of every day. Day and night. Through your can lights, your ceiling fans, smoke detectors, and every other pe*******on point between the top floor and the attic! It's like having mini heaters running at the ceiling all summer long. Unfortunately, it's the reverse in the wintertime. We need to stop losing all the air that we paid to condition!
