Pedal the Cause's next training ride is on June 14!

Gear up and get a feel for the roads and routes featured on this year's Pedal the Cause event weekend (September 20, 2026). Whether you're a seasoned cyclist or just getting started, there's a course option for you!

What to expect:
✅ Fully supported rides with SAG vehicles, refueling stations and marked routes
✅ Cue sheets available on-site
✅ Post ride party with food and refreshments from Fitz's Root Beer and 4 Hands Brewing Co. 🍺
✅ Tour the James O. Holton Jr. WWII Heritage Hangar featuring a B-25 Mitchell, TBM Avenger and more ✈️

💰 FREE for all Pedal the Cause participants (suggested donation of $10 to $15). Registration is REQUIRED and on site registration is available!

🌊 Our Open Water Swim Series is BACK and there's still time to jump in!

Join us most Saturday mornings through June 27 at the lake in New Town, St. Charles. Whether you're prepping for a triathlon (St. Luke's New Town Tri on July 11 and 12!) or just want to get more comfortable in open water, this is your spot. Bonus: bring your bike and shoes and make it a full training day!

Learn from Evolve Coaching on June 13th for open water swim instruction. The coaches will incorporate some dry land work and then head to the water to go over best practices on getting the most out of your swim on race day.

The series is staffed by Big Shark Events Staff, local coaches, training partners, and a full team of lifeguards from BYLG Sport.

Saturday road rides are rolling all June long. 🦈

Join us on June 13, 20, and 27 as we roll out from the Big Shark Big Bend parking lot at 7:30 AM for a morning ride designed to get the heart pumping and the miles flowing.

Riders can choose the route that fits their pace:

🚲 Medium Route: 28 miles, mellow pace, no drop
🚲 Short Route: About 20 miles, flip it when you're ready

Road bikes or speedy hybrids recommended.
