THIS ONE FEELS EXTRA SPECIAL. 💙🏑

After 26 years, Principia field hockey is back.

The program has been reinstated for the first time since 2000 — and they wasted no time making their presence known, winning their pool at the Gateway Classic in their first tournament of the season.

For us at Aim, this one hits a little differently.

📍 Principia is our home turf.
🏑 We have Aim athletes representing Principia on the field.
🧡 Two Aim coaches, Grace Weaver and Casey McGowan, are on the coaching staff.
💙 And our Director, Lauren, is a Principia alum and played an integral role in the relaunch.

But most importantly, this is bigger than one school or one team. It’s another high school field hockey program in St. Louis.

Every time a program is added — or, in this case, brought back — we create more opportunities for girls to play, compete, lead, and grow through this game we love.

More schools.
More teams.
More players.
More opportunities.

That’s how we continue to grow field hockey in St. Louis. ❤️🏑

World Hockey Youth Festival Champions & Runners-Up! 🌎🏑

Congratulations to Finnley Desloge and Aim Technical Director Torsten Bartel, who helped the U18 US Junior National Team capture the tournament championship with a 3–1 victory in the final!

We are also incredibly proud of Lila Merlin and the U16 US Junior National Team, who earned a runner-up finish after a hard-fought championship game that went to a shootout.

What an incredible experience and accomplishment for Finnley, Lila, and Torsten on the international stage! 🇺🇸

Congratulations to Mary Malloy (Class of 2028, St. Joseph’s Academy) on her commitment to being a student-athlete at Michigan State University. Mary will attend MSU in the fall of 2028 and continue her career at the Division I level.

Aim Director/Owner Lauren Cornthwaite shares, “Mary brings intensity and freedom, focus and humor, dedication and resilience to everything she does. She has been a part of Aim since she was very young, and watching her journey as a goalie has been incredibly special. I can remember the season when we, as her coaches, witnessed a shift - from an athlete who played field hockey to an athlete whose love for the sport, her team, and the pursuit of getting better had become deeply rooted and was beginning to flourish.  Mary has a wonderful presence in goal, and her confident and intentional verbal communication makes such a difference to the team in front of her.”

Congratulations to Mia Pacifico (Class of 2028, MICDS) on her commitment to being a student-athlete at Syracuse University. Mia will attend Syracuse in the fall of 2028 and continue her career at the Division I level.
